Assist with the implementation of a program of Simulation at Ross University clinical partner site St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO), the development of a simulation lab at SJMO, and the day-to-day operations of that lab.

Assist with technical operations of simulation labs across the DeVry Health Care brand (Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, Chamberlain College of Nursing, Carrington College)

Conceive, design, implement, present and publish innovative software and research to improve the technology and curriculum development of the simulation centers in the DeVry Health Care Group and SJMO

Coordinate standardized patients, and clinical space to run high stakes practical examinations

Bridge the technology for the faculty and learners by coordinating smooth lab operations including audiovisual, computer network and software, inventory, maintenance, and supply needs.

Assists in faculty development and implementation of simulation resources and training into their programs.

Assists with teaching activities.

Serve as a liaison between the DeVry Center for Simulation Excellence, and SJMO departments and programs that utilize simulators and simulation methods for training and assessment.

Develop and enforces policies and procedures and aims to meet accreditation standards.

Collaborate with the principal investigators and other researchers to develop and implement research methods and collect data for analysis.

Conceive, design, and implement innovative ideas to improve the technology and development of the Simulation Center and develop strategies to enhance.

Provide Faculty Instructors with instructional tools and technical or administrative support to carry out simulation sessions, including setting up simulators and rooms, preparing educational material for the courses.

Participate in design of Simulation Program documents and web-based learning tools.

Work with the Faculty in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of new courses, scenarios, simulation tools, and other educational initiatives to measure learning outcomes.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Ross University Simulation Program.

Develop, schedule, and deliver faculty-training session in simulator/equipment operation and case content.

Maintain the Simulation Center as a clean, safe and operational facility, and ensured the operation of the center as an optimal learning environment.

Maintain appropriate levels of supplies necessary to the operation of the Simulation Center.

Operate, program, repair, and maintain simulation equipment for simulation sessions and extra-curricular events.

Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practices for the Simulation Center.

Instructed groups of 8 – 10, 1st year undergraduate medical students in basic Cardio-vascular physiology auscultation techniques using Harvey the Cardio Pulmonary Simulator as a reinforcement of cardiac physiology.

Instructed groups of 8 – 10, 1st year undergraduate medical students in emergency airway management using Laerdal Airway Training Heads as a reinforcement activity for larynx/pharynx anatomy.

Instructed groups of 8 – 10, 1st year undergraduate medical students in a high fidelity resuscitation simulation using Laerdal’s SimMan 3g as an introduction to discussion on death and dying, advanced directives, and legal/ethical issues surrounding “Do Not Resuscitate” orders.
