By connecting to Whispering Pines Campground's wireless Internet service, you are agreeing to these terms of service

Whispering Pines Campground (Whispering Pines) Wi-Fi service Terms and Conditions:

Whispering Pines provides limited Internet access during most hours, except during maintenance procedures, for campers and their guests' personal use with portable computers or devices capable of receiving wireless signals. These access points allow campers and their guests to access the Internet from their web-enabled devices when within range of the access point.

As with most public wireless, Whispering Pines' wireless connection is not secure. Any information being sent or received could potentially be intercepted by another wireless user. Cautious and informed wireless users should not transmit their credit card information, passwords and any other sensitive personal information while using any public wireless access point.

Users assume all associated risks and agree to hold harmless Whispering Pines and its employees for any personal information (e.g. credit card) that is compromised, or for any damage caused to users' hardware or software due to electric surges, security issues or consequences caused by viruses or hacking. All wireless access users should have up-to-date virus protection on their personal laptop computers or wireless devices. Whispering Pines provides access to Web-based email only. For Microsoft Outlook or other email services, the users must connect with their own Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Whispering Pines does not guarantee the quality or reliability of the wireless connection and performance. Due to the nature of wireless technology, trees, metal and other obstructions degrade strength of the signal. We strive to provide access to all campers, but this is not possible in all situations. If you have difficulties accessing the internet from your campsite, there is wireless access in the office and recreation room for your use.

Whispering Pines staff may provide general information on the settings necessary to access the Internet via these connections, but are not responsible for any changes users make to their computer settings and cannot guarantee that a user's hardware will work with Whispering Pines' wireless connection. If a user has problems accessing the Internet over these connections, Whispering Pines staff cannot assist in making changes to the user's network settings or perform any troubleshooting on the user's computer. Users should refer to their owner's manuals or other support services offered by their device manufacturer.

All users are expected to use Whispering Pines' wireless access in a legal and responsible manner, consistent with the public service and informational purposes for which it is provided. Users should not violate federal, state or local laws, including the transmission or receiving of child pornography or harmful material, fraud, or downloading copyrighted material. Any tampering or exploitation of the Whispering Pines wireless access is strictly prohibited. Misuse and abuse of this service will result in an indefinite ban of the computer from the network and/or expulsion from the campground.

Any restriction or monitoring of a minor's access to Whispering Pines' wireless network is the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Your privacy is very important to us at Whispering Pines. We want to make your experience on the Internet as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, and we want you to use the Internet's vast array of information, tools, and opportunities with complete confidence. We do not collect or store any private or indentifying information about you, or your computer.
