ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION AS A CORRELATE OF JOB CREATION IN BENUE STATE, NIGERIA (2)
Sample and Sampling Technique

The sample of the study was made up of two hundred and twenty five (225) respondents (final year undergraduate students) which is 10% of the total population. The rationale for selecting this sample size is in line with Gay (2010) who asserted that if the total population of a study is in few thousands, 10% of it will suffice for a sample size. Cluster sampling technique was employed to draw the respondents to ensure university type representation of all the universities in the state. This technique enabled the researcher to avoid the bias of selecting only a section while ignoring others. The respondents were in a cluster of three (3) according to their university type. Simple random sampling (non-proportional) was employed to draw seventy five (75) respondents from each cluster.
