| COLONEL GEORGE FLOCK
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE Colonel George Flock is retired and resides in Papillion, Nebraska. The Colonel entered the Air Force in 1965 as a Communications Officer and in 1969 graduated from Navigation and Electronic Warfare School, subsequently serving as an Electronic Warfare Officer. He has served in a variety of positions during his career: Electronic Warfare Officer and instructor, RC-153 Sensor Officer, Strategic Air Command planner, Strategic Weapons Systems Analyst, Squadron Commander, Electronic Combat Staff Officer, Wing Commander, Deputy Commander for Programs, and as a Director. During the Vietnam War he flew 170 combat missions as an Electronic Warfare Officer on B-52D aircraft. He was a crew member on the RC-135, serving in various capacities as a Sensor Officer and instructor for special scientific and technician missions. As Commander, Detachment 1 of the 6940 Electronic Security Wing at Fort Meade, Maryland, he was involved in developing the first space mission for the Air Force. During his tour as Commander, 6996 Electronic Security Squadron, Fort Meade, Maryland, he was tasked with and achieved development of the first total Air Force unit. Subsequently, he was Deputy Commander for Programs, Air Force Electronic Warfare Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he developed Electronic Warfare Systems and support capabilities for USAF aircraft and served as the Initial Task Force Commander for Information Warfare operations during DESERT STORM. As Director, Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis Center (later the Joint Spectrum Center), in Annapolis, Maryland, he was responsible for developing capabilities and aiding system developers to analyze the effectiveness of electromagnetic dependent weapon systems to operate in their intended environments. He retired on 30 September, 1995.
