  5. Students who were turned away from a top law school, despite high exam scores

  1. A friend who owns either a Macintosh or a Windows machine

  2. A friend who now owns one of the machines but used to own the other

  3. A dealer for either Macintosh or Windows computers

  4. A computer column in a big-city newspaper

  5. Reviews in computer magazines
