DIPLOMAT BASEBALL 
2017 WINTER PROSPECT CLINIC JANUARY 29, 2017 ALUMNI SPORTS & FITNESS CENTER 1PM-5PM
The coaching staff at Franklin & Marshall College invites you to attend our 2017 Winter Prospect Clinic on January 29th, 2017 from 1pm-5pm. The camp will teach upper level baseball skills to high school prospects. Every camper will have his individual skills evaluated. All players currently enrolled in high school are eligible to attend the camp. This showcase will give you an opportunity to not only be seen by our entire coaching staff, but also to meet and work directly with current F&M players. Clinic Staff Head baseball coach Ryan Horning will lead the clinic. Coach Horning was named Head Coach at F&M in 2013 after serving as an assistant in Lancaster for five seasons. In 2015, Coach Horning led the Diplomats to a 28-13 record and was named Centennial Conference Coach of the Year. Coach Horning has also coached at Cornell University, Longwood University, and St. John Fisher College. Ryan Luke enters his first season as an assistant coach at F&M. His primary duties will be to work with the Diplomats defense while also helping Coach Horning with the hitters. Coach Luke spent last season as the Director of Baseball Operations at Lafayette College. Coach Luke graduated from Moravian College in 2015 where he was a three-year captain and led his team to the NCAA tournament twice and garnered All-Conference three times while making the All-Region team his senior year. Matt Scheuing is entering his 12th year as an assistant coach at F&M, working primarily with the pitchers. A local product and former professional pitcher, Coach Scheuing played for Millersville University. In 2005, the lefthander was 6-6 with 52 strikeouts and a 5.29 earned run average in 26 starts for the Lancaster Barnstormers, an independent team in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Gordon Eck enters his ninth season as an assistant coach for the Diplomats in 2017. A 2004 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Eck played first base, left field and pitched during his career. He finished his career with a .317 batting average and 3.97 ERA, which was aided by a 3.2 K/BB ratio. Eck is ranked top-10 in school history in RBIs, sacrifice flies and sacrifice bunts. Clinic Details The clinic will be held at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center fieldhouse on the F&M campus. The address for the fieldhouse is 929 Harrisburg Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603. The cost will be $100 per camper. There will be no refunds given after January 15th, 2017. Campers will be required to bring their own gloves, bats, catcher’s equipment, and turfs or running shoes. Helmets will be provided.
