Responsibilities



Some of the key responsibilities while executing this project are as listed below -

  • Go through the software Requirements and get clarifications on one’s doubts from the project managers and the lead developers.

  • Understand the master test plan and the project plan from the team at Bangalore.

  • Prepare Sprint-Wise test plans for every phase.

  • Become familiar with software under test and any other software related to it.

  • Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents.

  • Based on the information procured in the above steps decide how it is to be tested.

  • Set-up the required test beds(hardware, software and network)

  • Check and gather all the necessary resources to execute the testing activities.

  • Preparing test data’s for the test cases.

  • Preparing test environment to execute the test cases.

  • Test software releases by executing the assigned tests.

  • Giving mandatory information of a defect to developers in order to fix it.

  • Reporting defects on bug tracking tools like jira, bugzilla.

  • Verify the defects occurring in the previous build on a new software release provided by the developers and updating.

  • Regularly updating the defect status on bug tracking tool –Jira, Bugzilla

  • Disposing clients open bugs with proper comments and lodging them on jira if not present.

  • Keep myself up-to-date on the overview of the development technology, the popular testing tools and the overview of the business domain.

The objective of this project is develop a mobile application which could be used as a controller(mediator), in controlling user activities like login into accounts like G+, twitter and facebook, watching and surfing through their favorite videos on LCD’s using FireTV.

  • Fetching Facebook friends of the logged in user and chatting under android platform.

  • Fetching contacts from the phone’s native contact list under android platform.

  • UI creation of contact listing from phone’s native contact and from facebook.

  • UI creation of user preferences of videos to be surfed and watched on LCD’s and mobile.

  • User’s image uploading and fetch request on login.
