| INT. - LIVING ROOM - DAY
We see a large dead body on the floor. The head is cut off. A hand comes in and pick up the head by the long curly hair. ALEX, smart dressed northerner is holding up a severed head in the air. He looks at it. ALEX Is it dead? It looks dead to me. Tom (white) is standing on the other side of the room. ARUN (Indian) walks into the room with an orange juice bottle. ARUN Right, who’s been drinking my milk?!
and then notices the head in ALEX’S hand. ARUN’S eyes widen and he suddenly spits out the milk all over the severed head and ALEX. THE DIRECTOR Cut!
We see a camera crew in the room filming a clue style film for their filmmaking module. We see it from a behind the scenes camera. ARUN
What? TOM (THE DIRECTOR) Milk you idiot, that´s orange juice. ALEX
I´m all sticky now! ARUN
I´m sorry I sprayed my juice all over you... TOM
Re-set, let´s go again. THE DIRECTOR goes back behind the camera. ARUN Shouldn´t Alex change his clothes? TOM No time.
ARUN Yeah, he could change and we just film a shot where it´s just me. TOM That´s not in the script. ARUN You could put it in. TOM I could, but no. ALEX Well the prop is sticky as well now. TOM That´s not a prop. ALEX Excuse me? TOM That´s a real head. ARUN Fuck off! TOM Smell it. ALEX smells it and passes out. The head roles in front of ARUN´s feet. ARUN
What the fuck Tom!!! TOM
We can do that shot now if you want, he isn´t getting up for a while. ARUN
You chopped someone´s head off. TOM
I didn´t. I found him. ARUN
Like this? TOM
He killed himself. The behind the scenes camera is slowly moving backwards towards the door. ARUN How?
TOM Just some wire, I guess. ARUN Is that the answer you are sticking with? TOM Yes.
ARUN I´m out.
TOM What?
ARUN I´m not going to star in a film where you chopped someone´s head off. TOM Excuse me if I want some realism in my fucking art you unsophisticated prick. The Behind the scenes camera is almost out the door. TOM
Hey, where are you going? The behind the scenes camera man starts running. He leaves the house. TOM runs after him, swearing. BTS GUY I´m calling the police you fucking psycho. TOM runs and then gets him. Black. INT. INTERROGATION ROOM – DAY TOM is handcuffed, sitting in a white room at a table. Opposite him is a DETECTIVE. TOM
I dunno, I slipped...I guess DETECTIVE You slipped, into the guy´s neck? Knife first? TOM
Yes. PISH (THE DIRECTOR) Alright that was good, this time add a bit more humour to it okay? We see a film crew filming an interrogation scene. DETECTIVE Sure, shall I go from the top? TOM What the fuck? PISH Yes please TOM What is this? PISH And Action! DETECTIVE So, how about you start from the beginning? TOM What?
DETECTIVE Did you slip? TOM Yes, but what´s going on here? PISH whispers something to the camera-man. DETECTIVE So you slipped, into the guys neck? Knife first? VOICE OVER (ALEX) Tom is super confused as he has no idea what the fuck is going on. TOM stares at his handcuffs which turn out to be a toy. VOICE OVER (ALEX) He frees himself from this absurd toy and leaves the film set...wait a minute... INT. - LIVING ROOM – DAY TOM, ALEX and ARUN are back in the living room. The dead body is still there. ALEX So the head isn´t a prop? TOM It is, but not in the script ALEX Right, you got anyone to play the detective? TOM Yeah Arun will play him, but I´ll shoot it in a way that we won´t see his face, so nobody will know that it´s him. TOM and ALEX turn towards ARUN who is bleeding from his neck. TOM is shocked and sees the knife in his own hand and the behind the scenes camera in ARUN´s. TOM turns the other way and sees PISH with his camera man talking about the lighting of the scene. TOM leaves the house.
TOM reads the text out loud. He is back in the interrogation room. The Detective looks at him but the film crew is gone. DETECTIVE That´s a crazy story TOM I know
DETECTIVE So did you kill someone or not? TOM I hope not DETECTIVE Well you can go then. TOM Thanks.
TOM wakes up in his bed. He grabs a pen and starts writing on his arm. He is with his girlfriend in the living room and his girlfriend reads out loud what he wrote on his arm. GIRLFRIEND “I need to buy some milk, because orange juice is sticky” What does that mean? TOM
Well milk is easier to wash out GIRLFRIEND If you say so She leaves. TOM looks down on the floor. There is the landlord trying to kill himself with some wire. TOM That´s never gonna work mate. LANDLORD (played by PISH or the same guy who played the 2nd direcor) You sure? TOM Tried it, just a waste of time LANDLORD Like this film?
