iLOC Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Intermediate Software Developer to join our team. We develop and market innovative Personal GPS Tracking and Security products for individuals and businesses.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the technology director, the successful candidate must demonstrate he/she can develop browser based geo-location and mobile applications. You must be meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently and bring sound technical judgment when developing code.
Responsibilities:

Architect, design, develop, maintain and support both server and mobile software applications

Participate in requirement discussions and prepare scope of work estimates

Provide platform support and problem resolution

Propose product design/feature improvements relative to LBS, mapping applications and/or other related tasks

Establish and write test plans and procedures, perform functional, data and exception handling coverage, performance load testing of the product to identify bugs and non-conformities including updating and writing test and non conformity reports

Apply configuration management, version control, best practices and standards
-
Recommend improvement of development, integration and support practices and processes

Keep abreast of current development practices, methodology and tools

Carry out other tasks compatible to your functions
Experience and Education:
-
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
-
4-6 years experience with web application development using XML, Web Services, HTML5, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, JSON

Experience with ASP.NET desirable

Excellent MS SQL skills & relational database skills
-
Experience with software design and object-oriented(OO) concepts using C++

Experience with iOS SDK or Android NDK is an asset

Good mathematical skills (vector and matrix particularly)

Able to demonstrate creativity and vision

Ability to work with minimum supervision and be self-motivated

Excellent English and French verbal and written communication skills, other languages are considered an asset
