The Soil Moisture Sensor is used to measure the volumetric water content of soil.
The soil moisture sensor consists of two probes which are used to measure the volumetric content of water.
The two probes allow the current to pass through the soil and then it gets the resistance value to measure the moisture value.

The 16×2 LCD display is a very basic module commonly used in electronic circuits.
The 16×2 translates o a display 16 characters per line in 2 such lines.

The DHT11 is a basic, ultra low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor.
It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air, and spits out a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed).

Ultrasonic sensors measure distance by using ultrasonic waves.
The sensor head emits an ultrasonic wave and receives the wave reflected back from the target.
Ultrasonic sound vibrates at a frequency above the range of human hearing.
Transducers are the microphones used to receive and send the ultrasonic sound.

A USB webcam is a camera that connects to a computer, usually through plugging it in to a USB port on the machine.
The video is fed to the computer where a software application lets you view the pictures and also transfer them to the Internet.

This project is smart irrigation as well as monitoring of crop field using Raspberry pi.
In this project sensors like DHT11, Ultrasonic Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor, Soil pH Sensor are used. In addition to that USB camera and Buzzer also used in this system
This system monitors the weather, pH level of the soil and objects which is entered in to the field.
