Job Posting Template My name is Rashed Nakkache and I am leading the Architecture & Development department in Svitzer Technology. I am looking for a Solution Architect to join my team in this newly setup function. In collaboration with our colleagues from different functions you will be defining new solutions, redesigning existing solutions and looking into future technologies to support Svitzer’s growth journey. In this role you will get an outstanding opportunity of influencing how our new “Architecture & Development” function is being shaped. We offer Svitzer is a towage company, which means we help our customers manoeuvre their larger ships safely and timely in and out of port. We operate globally. Most of our business is to support container vessels, cargo ships, cruise ships and navy vessels but we also attend to emergencies like vessels being adrift or offshore fires. Your main location will be together with Svitzer headquarters at Amaliegade 44 in the heart of Copenhagen. Technology as a strong partner to different business areas is key in making the operations run efficiently and to innovate the future of Svitzer. We are on an exciting journey shaping the future of Technology in Svitzer and defining our role in innovating this industry. As our Solution Architect, you will in close collaboration with product owners, project managers, and technology colleagues decide how solutions will be crafted in alignment with business requirements and technological fit. You will also assess proposed major changes to our portfolio of applications against our security and architecture guidelines, and guide on what is best fit-for-purpose from both technology strategic roadmaps and solution, perspectives. Architecture & Development is a new, small, and growing team in Technology. Our team is consisting of solution architects and developers. As we are building the team, in this role you will have the chance to influence how architectural frameworks, standards and guidelines will be shaped. Automations, CI/CD, and APIs are big on our agenda, and you will also have the opportunity to contribute to frameworks and tooling for these, enabling effective technology. In Technology we promote Cloud, favouring SAAS and PAAS. We run on Azure, and you will have the chance to grow using the latest technologies, and across different business areas. You and your colleagues are usually involved in different projects, but we work very closely together and help each other out. Mutual respect, collaboration and fun is important in our team. You will notice a true international feel day-to-day, where your colleagues in the global technology organization are based in Australia, Americas, Dubai, UK and Denmark, however with many more nationalities than this. English is our main business language, and your working days vary between virtual meetings and in-person interactions, and at times you might be traveling to meet in person with remote teams.
