Mosaics depicting Mexican icons
Beginning in 1991, art teacher Francisco Mendoza has collaborated with students to covered the building's unremarkable facade with Venetian glass mosaic tiles. The portraits include labor leader Cesar Chavez, artist Frida Kahlo, revolutionary Emiliano Zapato and muralists Diego Rivera, David Siquieros and Jose Orozco. On three columns are designs honoring the Olympic games, and the Aztec sun and moon gods.

Increíbles Las Cosas Que Se Ven (Oh, The Things You'll See)
On the corner of 19th and Ashland above a laundrymat you'll find this piece created in 2001. Artist Jeff Zimmerman's work is known for using "photo-realistic" images and capturing people who live and work in Pilsen. Also, he includes political messages in his work.
