Email App

For Lotus Notes email, go mms.yorku.ca from Browser, logon with PPY account, click on Electronic Mail and Change password. This password is only accept 7-8 characters. This password is NOT same as Lotus Notes email account password.

Tap on Email from the phone

If no email has been set up in the phone before go to Step 6 below, otherwise, tap Menu

Tap Settings

Tap +

Input Lotus Notes Email account and it’s password, tap on Manual setup

Tap on IMAP Account

Change settings as below, then tap Next
IMAP Server: postoffice.notes.yorku.ca
Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates)
Port: 993

Change the settings as below, then tap Done. Sometimes, this screen may not go through even the settings are set properly. Do it again till done.
SMTP Server: mailrelay.yorku.ca
Security Type: TLS (Accept all certificates)
Port: 587
Require sing-in: checked
User name: Lotus Notes Email account
Password: Electronic Email password in step 1 NOT Lotus Notes Email password

Setup your preferred options, tap Next and Done. Email will be automatically loaded.

Change the email preferred settings, tap Menu

Tap on the email account

Change the settings as personal preferred.

Depending on the Android versions, the newest Android version only found two email folders and NOT including all other Lotus Notes folders.

K-9 Mail App

Tag on Play Store, search K-9 Mail and Install

Tap on Next, enter Email account and it’s password, tap on Next

Tap on IMAP, input appropriate settings, click on Next

Port: 993

Input Outgoing server settings, and tap on Next. Sometimes, this screen may not go through even the settings are set properly. Do it again till done.

Tap on Next , Next, and Done

Tap on K-9 Mail

Tap on the Menu, Settings to change for Preferred settings

Tap on Folders, Email folders from server can be located. The number of emails downloaded are depending on settings and which can be changed.

Tap on Settings, either Folder Settings, Account settings, or Global settings to change. Can use the default or change to personal preferred.
