Michael C. Williams
Biographical Sketch
A Native Atlantan, Michael Williams, presently lives in Tucker with his wife, Margaret, and their two children, Scott and Susan. He received a Bachelor’s degree from West Georgia College and a Master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He has over 35 years of experience working for local planning departments. These include:
St. Tammany Parish Louisiana, (1979 – 1984)
Fulton County, Georgia, (1984 – 1986)
Gwinnett County, GA, (1986 – 2006)
Manager of Current Planning (1986 – 1999 approx.)
Director of Planning & Development (1999 - 2006)
Supervised over 200 staff in the areas of permitting, inspections and planning during some of Gwinnett’ County’s busiest years in development.
