NEIGHBORHOOD --- LOCAL MEETINGS SCHEDULE FOR JULY 2009 Rev 8-6-09 Please forward this to your DELTA friends Hello Retirees, Thanks for telling us about the meetings in your area. This schedule lists all we know of now. More and more of you are holding meetings in local areas and all are encouraged to take part in these. If one is not being held near you --- START ONE ---, it's pretty easy. Pick out a place that's good to go to, send me its name and address and a date and time, and I'll spread the word. After a couple of times, you'll have a good group getting together there. These below are ones I know about now but I know there must be many others out there. Please let me know where and when and the contact name, phone # and email address and this list will grow. Changes are in GREEN. Invite your former NORTHWEST AIRLINES friends to come with you to your next meeting. And have them send me an email to be added to this NET. We have moved our meeting place from IHOP to Towne Club located at 201 Crosstown Drive in Peachtree City. This is a lovely place and they have given us a good deal. The date and time will remain the same which is the second Wednesday of the odd months at 11.30 A.M. The directions are to take Peachtree Parkway from Hwy 54 going South to the second stop sign. The Thursday morning gang are changing from Mike & C's to the Broadway Diner in Fayetteville. It is located at 535 S.Glynn Street. Once a month we have a get together at my house and I serve a light meal and after the meal we get in a circle and share something about ourselves. Then we read a portion of the Bible and discuss for a short time what it says. I try not to preach or teach but to have our guests discover what is meant by what we have read. The Bible is so relevant to our daily living. Ladies are invited too. These meeting are in the evening and we meet on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M.
