Relocation Coordination
Utility infrastructure is complex but carefully designed and engineered to provide the vital services that promote a positive quality of life for New Jersey’s residents. Changes to this infrastructure to accommodate new development or transportation upgrades can result in significant utility construction costs. When communication and coordination break down, it can add to these costs by creating unnecessary project delays, service interruptions, potential safety hazards, traffic delays, strained relationships and damage to public trust and image.

Government Agency Relocation Requirements:
Aqua’s most up to date water main specifications shall be included with all Government Agency project specifications and bid documents. All materials shall be purchased by the Government agency in accordance with these specifications prior to use.
Aqua will review and approve all water main relocation plans as prepared by the Government Agency’s design engineer
.
The General Contractor for the Government Agency must select a contractor from the pre-approved contractor list for water main construction work.
Aqua will provide the inspection service and limited construction management services for all water main relocation.
