Dear Olga, A UNIQUE opportunity will be given to everyone, who comes to Vasiljevskiy slop on Red Square on September 8th at 3:00 p.m. It’s this place where the World Touring Car Championship – one of the most public and favorite motorsport competitions– starts from! For the FIRST time not only the series’ executives, but also the heroes of racing tracks will come to Russia with the official visit. Moreover, the delegation will be truly international – Moscow will welcome Swiss Alain Manu, Swede Rickard Rydell, Dutchman Jaap van Lagen, Frenchman Yvan Muller, German Franz Engstler. They will be accompanied by Russians Kirill Ladygin and Viktor Shapovalov. The heads of motorsport divisions of Chevrolet, SEAT and LADA will also arrive in Moscow. It will also be the first visit to the capital of Russia for the series’ promoter Marcello Lotti (Italia). During his visit Mr. Lotti will have meetings with Moscow and Moscow region government, and with president of Russian Automobile federation (RAF) Kiryanov V.N. An EXTENSIVE programme of visit of the impressive delegation starts on September 7th in the morning at the stands of LADA, SEAT, Chevrolet and BMW on the Moscow Motorshow in Crocus Expo, where specialists will present the new models of their concerns. At 2:00 p.m. sharp all drivers will gather at Yokohama stand, where a fascinating show of the WTCC participants will take place. At 6 p.m. all sportsmen will congratulate citizens on the City Day from the platform, constructed on Teatral’naya Square. The most EVENTFUL day for the guests will be on Monday, September 8th. A round table will journalists will be organized in Ritz Hotel at 1:00 p.m., where the questions of organizing and holding an event of the prestigious racing series – World Touring Car Championship – in Russia will be considered. And soon after the brief with journalists the sportsmen will go to Red Square, where starting from the midday mini motorsport competitions for fans will be held. At 3 p.m. Mr. Lotti will open grand presentation ceremony of the World Championship will begin. The cars of all manufacturers, presented in the FIA WTCC, were specially brought there for this occasion. Every journalist will be able to talk to drivers, have a close look at the championship’s cars and just admire an impressive action. Never has the participants of the world championship met on the MAIN SQUARE of our country.
