Quick Installation Guide

OpenTempo App for Android Devices

1 Overview

Using OpenTempo’s Android app, up-to-the minute assignment and case information can be viewed virtually anywhere - anytime. In addition to schedule views, our app allows users to instantly view clinician contact info, enabling immediate communication via phone, email, or text.

What You Need

To use the OpenTempo app on your Android device, you will need:

Wireless internet connectivity (WiFi, 3G, 4G)
OpenTempo account login and password

2 Getting Started…

Installing the OpenTempo app on your Android phone takes only a few minutes. Let’s get started.

Setting up the OpenTempo App using Android Web Browser

Turn on your Android device and select the web browser icon

Use the keypad to enter the OpenTempo app installation address. This URL should be in the following format:

https://mysite.opentempo.com/mysite/m

mysite in the example above would be the name of your OpenTempo server and is the same name you’ll see in the address bar when you log in to OpenTempo with a web browser.

If you are unsure of your server name please contact your OpenTempo administrator for help. Self-hosted OpenTempo installations (American Anesthesiology, Pediatrix, etc.) do not use the OpenTempo domain. Verify the URL with your administrator.

Once your URL is correctly entered, tap Go on the keypad to access OpenTempo’s mobile web application. Keeping logged in, move on to the next section to add the OpenTempo app to the home screen.

Add OpenTempo to the Home Screen

1. From the Log In screen, tap the bookmark icon
2. Tap Add Bookmark
3. Name your bookmark. Click Save. This name will appear underneath the OpenTempo application icon on your Android homescreen.	$c:\users\justin\desktop\android ot app screenshots\screenshot_2013-11-13-14-24-21.png$

5. Create the home screen icon by tapping Add shortcut OR Add shortcut to Home. This differs by Android device, but the commands are synonymous.	$c:\users\justin\desktop\android ot app screenshots\screenshot_2013-11-13-14-32-23.png$
View and access your app on your device home page. Click the OpenTempo app icon to view your schedule. Note that the app will only appear on the main home screen if there is room. Without room the app will be added to another homescreen but can be moved at any time. Logging In

Once the OpenTempo app is set up on the Android device, it’s simple to launch and view schedules.

Once launched, enter the OpenTempo log in and password, supplied by your administrator, and click the Log In button.

Once logged in to the OpenTempo app, up-to-the minute assignment and case information can be viewed virtually anywhere – anytime. Additionally, users can view clinician contact info, enabling immediate communication via phone, email,

or text.

Note: In addition to OpenTempo’s app, schedules can be imported to Google Calendar. Please refer to the OpenTempo guide titled “Google Calendar Installation.pdf” for detailed instructions.
