These games (Phun, Bud and Hangman) were designed by Professor Julia Guichard of Miami University in consultation with the authors. The University of British Columbia's Introduction to Linguistics site provides IPA charts with ultrasound and animated illustrations of speech anatomy in action on pulmonic and non-pulmonic consonants, and vowels. There is also a link to pages explaining and illustrating the sound system of Japanese.
