Presenters Alicia Bell, MS, LPCA, is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Addictions & Rehabilitation Studies. She has experience with children, adolescents, and families through home based and outpatient services. She assisted in the program development of Navigate-Pregnancy & Recovery Clinic in 2013 and is the current coordinator. Kelly Dewald, M.S. is a graduate from the Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling in the Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies at ECU. Laurie Rokutani, Ed.S., is currently President and CEO of MoonShadow, LLC, providing consultation and training in the prevention and treatment of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, cultural competency, strategic planning, and other areas upon request. She is an adjunct instructor for the College of William & Mary, the Mid Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Center, ECU’s DARS, and Thomas Nelson Community College. Suzan K. Thompson, PhD, LPC is the Clinical Coordinator for Old Dominion University, Graduate Counseling Program. She has a private practice and lectures extensively on Complementary & Alternative Healing Modalities, Meridian/Acupoint Tapping, & Using Creativity in Counseling. She will present an abbreviated version of “Heal Trauma Fast.” This innovative and integrative approach is evidence-based and addresses body/ mind as well as the conscious/unconscious using movement, energy dreams and guided imagery for complete healing. Tim Williams, M.S. is a graduate from the Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling in the Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies at ECU. Demonstrate the use of at least two new, energy-based strategies. Describe how the Heal Trauma Fast strategies can be applied to various client populations. Discuss the process for and benefits of focus groups. List current trends in substance use amongst pregnant and postpartum women. Identify characteristics of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Describe to motivational interviewing/perinatal education model. 
PARC PARC is a professional association of clinical substance abuse, mental health, and rehabilitation counselors/psychotherapists.
