Connect the ProfiCore Ultra to a test port on your Profibus network. Start the ProfiTrace software on your PC or laptop.
Click on Init ProfiCore Ultra to initialize the ProfiCore Ultra. The software will automatically detect the baud rate and will show a “live list” of all devices on the Profibus network. A good slave will show up as a green block.
If you cycle the power on a slave, to it will also display it’s name. You can also click on the highlighted square and it will display more information about it to the left.
