The principal activity of the company is the optimized control of processes using software based on internationally patented adaptive predictive expert control methodology. This methodology is the culmination of 30 years of research and development, 3 books, more than 100 scientific papers and 200 industrial applications. ADEX methodology offers a real alternative to conventional PID control, overcomes its principal limitations and opens Adaptive Predictive Control for highly non-linear processes inside the aerospace sector.

Previous FP Projects Participated
|
The company is currently participating in EU FP7 projects such as FLEXIBURN, for the technology development of oxycombustion coal‐fired power plants with CO2 recovery; CDT, for the design of the MYRRHA transmutation reactor, and MAX, for the technology development of the proton accelerator associated to said reactor. As well, it participates in national projects such as ATLANTE in partnership with EADS, where it is developing an adaptive flight control system, and as SINTONIA with Boeing, where advanced systems for UAVs are being developed.

Active flow control need an Advanced Control System which must have a clear potencial to reduce drag, to control loads and reduce noise. ADEX can offer a Adaptive Self-Tuning Flight Control System (AST-FCS), successfully proved in simulation with the UAS ATLANTE model of Airbus Military. The implementation in real applications of this AST-FCS can offer high performance, safety, robustness and efficiency in a time-varying non-linear environment, where precise knowledge of the aircraft dynamics is not required.
