The edit quarter program was rearranged to improve performance by only initiating the NAICS 07 edit check for quarters prior to 2011. Depending on your State’s size you should see a measurable improvement in the edit run times.
MWR Web Load
The MWR web system is being modified to distinguish between reported zeroes and missing data. While the reported zero data will continue to be zeroes, missing data fields will be left blank on load files sent to the states. When a zero is loaded it will be treated as reported. If the field is blank, the field on the database will not change (i.e., it will remain zero with an M or it will retain whatever else may have been entered to the field such as a hand entry or an imputation). When a new RUN for a new worksite is entered, the system automatically initializes each employment and wage field to zero with an M and the same treatment occurs as for an existing record.
EQUI
Back Quarters
The EQUI programming has been modified to no longer include only the process quarter and one quarter back. Now, the process quarter and up to four back quarters may be included based on the matrix in the following table:
The EQUI programming has been changed to submit the most currently available refiling data (from the most recently completed refiling). Prior versions of this program considered the year of the EQUI record when filling in the ARS data which resulted in older ARS data being included on the EQUI. The fix corrects that problem.
Update EQUI
This change to the EQUI programming re-establishes the ability to run an update EQUI deliverable to produce a file for BLS. This functionality was disabled with the move to subset files. Only records that have been changed since the last EQUI was run are included on the file which will include the applicable quarters based on the table above. Users are cautioned that running the EQUI deliverable programming twice in the same day will result in overwriting your deliverable file.
