TITLE PROPOSAL

NAME: Trinidad, Marjon R. COURSE: Bachelor of Science in Architecture
PROPOSED TITLE: Living Center of the Future: Introducing a new approach to the future of the Residential Complex in Metropolitan Areas

Developing design process to have sustainable society and residential space.

QUESTION

What makes people satisfied and what factors impact their living space?

STRATEGY

Reflect on some projections for years to come and measurements that we need to take for the next generation of residential architecture.

MOTIVE

Explore what makes people comfortable and relaxed, and what factors make their living space and society viable, focusing in particular on future housing needs.

RESEARCH QUESTION:

What people want and how cities are responding?

REASONS/JUSTIFICATION IN CHOOSING THE TOPIC:

Housing has been a major challenge for the rising population during last decades, especially in developing countries. My strategy would concentrate on social and collaborative space alongside technical aspects. "Architecture as part of life" is a term that I have always brought with me: buildings that adapt to life, to our needs, to our moods. They need to adjust to our space, our functionality and our needs, which are constantly changing – and even to our sense of beauty, itself in continuous motion.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GROWTH OF KNOWLEDGE IN ARCHITECTURE:

As urban reality shows, growing population, demand for scarce resources and the degradation of the natural environment reinforce this default that, as urbanization accelerates, more people will find themselves living close together than ever before. The standard of urban living spaces will be much more critical in the future. Architecture will change the way we think , feel and welcome the future.
