Major General Valerii Hryhorovych ASAPOV – Commanding general of the 1st Army Corps (1st AC HQ is located in Donetsk, Ukraine) of the Center of the Territorial Forces of the Russian Southern Military District/Russian Armed Forces. In Ukraine uses the alias Prymakov Valerii Hryhorovych, in daily phone and radio exchanges uses the codename – “Tuman” (“Fog”).

Date and place of birth: 01.01.1966, town of Malmyzh, Kirov oblast, Russia.

Education:

Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School – in 1987 (cum laude);

Frunze Military Academy – in 1999 (cum laude);

Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation – in 2011 (cum laude).



Military service:

1987-1996 – commander of the platoon, company, and battalion of the 104th airborne regiment of the 76th airborne division;

1996 – 1999 – student of the Frunze Military Academy (Moscow);

1999 – 2003– deputy commander, commander of the separate parachute regiment of the so called “Russian Peacekeeping Force” in Abkhaziia, Georgia;

2003 – 2007 – deputy commander, EO of the 98th airborne division (Ivanovo) of the Airborne Forces;

2007 – 2010 – commander of the 18th machine gun-artillery division (Hariachi Klyuchi, the Kurile Islands) of the Far Eastern Military District;

2010 – 2011 – student of the Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Moscow);

2011 – 2013 – commander of the 37th separate motorized rifle brigade (Kiachta, Republic of Buriatiya) of the 36th Army (Ulan-Ude) of the Eastern Military District;

2013 – 2014 – deputy commander of the 5th Army (Ussuriisk, Primorskii krai) of the Eastern Military District;

01.2014 – 07.2015 – commander of the 68th Army Corps (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) of the Eastern Military District.

In July 2015, General Asapov was seconded to Southern Military District HQ in Rostov-on-Don, and later in August, 2015 became Commander of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk, Ukraine) of the Center of the Territorial Forces of the Southern Military District/Russian Armed Forces”.

Promotion: Major General in 2013.
Combat experience:

1992-1993 – South Osethia;

1995, 2004 – Chechnia;

2002 – Abkhaziia.

Major General Ihor Borysovych TYMOFEYEV the Commander of the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit 08803, Horlivka, Ukraine) of the 1st AC (Donetsk, Ukraine) of the Center of the Territorial Forces of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. General Tymofeyev co-educated in Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School with Lieutenant General Teplynskii – EO, the 1st Deputy Chief of the Center of the Territorial Forces of the Russian Southern Military District. General Tymofeyev's previous position in the Russian Armed Forces – the CO of the 33rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Maikop, Adyheya Republic) of the 49th Army of the Russian Southern Military District, appointed to the position on 16.12.2011.

2009-2011 – commander of the 56th separate air assault brigade, Sothern Military District;

2011 - till present – commander of the 33rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Maikop, Adyheya Republic) of the 49th Army of the Russian Southern Military District.

Colonel Yevhen Volodymyrovych CHYRKOV, HR Deputy Commander of the 1st Army Corps of the Centre of the Territorial Forces of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. Career officer of Russian Army. Arrived in Ukraine in December, 2015, from the position of the HR deputy commander of the 28th motorized brigade of the Central Military district. Codename – "Chub".

Colonel Ihor Hryhorovych KAPLII – commander of the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit 08805, Donetsk) of the 1st AC. In Ukraine uses the alias Ihor Hryhorovych KREMEN, codename – “KREMEN”. Graduated from Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School (1991). 2003-2006 – served in the 119th airborne regiment (also as the deputy commander of the regiment), approximately in 2006-2009 – commander of the 51st airborne regiment (Tula), 2009-2013 – chief of the 242nd training center for the preparation of the young specialists (military unit 64818, Omsk) Russian Airborne Troops. Participated in Chechnia Wars, decorated with the Order of Courage and the Order of Military Merit;
Colonel Oleksandr Mykolayovych BUSHUYEV – commander of the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit 08807, Debaltseve) of the 1st AC. In Ukraine, uses the alias of KOLOSOV Oleksandr Mykolayovych, in daily phone and radio exchanges uses the name of “ZARIA”. Appointed to the position of the brigade’s commander in September, 2015 (replaced Mykhailo Oleksandrovych NIKOLAYEV, in daily phone and radio exchanges uses the name of “Sedoi”). Graduated from Kazan Suvorov Command School and, reportedly, Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School. In 2007-2013, served as the battalion’s commander and the executive officer, 1st Deputy Commander of the 83rd separate air assault brigade (military unit 71289, Usuriisk) of the Russian Airborne Troops.

Colonel Andrii Yuriyovych RUZYNSKIIcommander of the 2nd separate motorized rifle brigade (Luhansk, Ukraine) of the 2nd AC (Luhansk, Ukraine) of the Center of the Territorial Forces of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Colonel Petro Mykolayovych BOLHAREV– commander of the 4th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit L-74347, Alchevsk) of the 2nd AC. In daily phone and radio exchanges, reportedly, uses the name of “Klion” or “Vorchun”. Born in 20.01.77, native of Amur oblast, Russia. Graduated from Blahoveshchensk Higher Tank Command School and, reportedly, Russian Federation Armed Forces Combined Arms Academy. In January, 2013 held an interim appointment of the commander of the 70th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit 24776, city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai) of the 5th Army of the Eastern Military District. In May, 2015, he was appointed to the position of the commander of the 5th separate tank brigade (military unit 46108, Husinooziorsk, the Republic of Buriatiya) of the 36th Аrmy of the Eastern Military District.


Colonel Dmytro Yevhenovych BONDAREV– commander of the 9th separate motorized rifle regiment of the Marine Corps (Novoazovsk, Ukraine) of the 1st AC (Donetsk, Ukraine) of the Center of the Territorial Forces of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In Ukraine, uses the alias of Yevhen Dmytrovych KOVALENKO. He was born on 22.05.1971 in Russia. Graduated from Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School in 1992 and Russian Federation Armed Forces Combined Arms Academy in 2009. In 2013-2015, he was a commander of 51st parachute regiment of the 106th airborne division (Tula) of the Russian Airborne Troops. Participated in Chechnia Wars in 1995 and in 2000.

Colonel Roman Borysovych TITOV– commander of the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment of the 1st AC (military unit 08818, Makiivka). In Ukraine, uses the name of Roman Borysovych DIEMONOV.
