Work Experience:

01/2017 – Present Research Assistant Chattanooga, Tennessee

-Tasks include utilizing aseptic technique to handle cultures of pathogenic bacteria from a hospital setting in order to perform tests and draw conclusions and potential solutions for the problems identified in the research project.

08/2017 – Present Server – Alleia Chattanooga, Tennessee

-Duties include maintaining strong, detailed background knowledge about food and drink menus in order to interact with guests in the restaurant setting while working as a contributing member of a team.

01/2016 – 08/2017 Trainer/Server – Rodizio Grill Chattanooga, Tennessee

-Responsibilities included providing direct customer service in a restaurant setting, maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure, and leading and training new employees in successful interactions with guests.

-Duties included providing friendly customer service and teaching new employees to communicate well with guests and co-workers.

-Responsibilities included maintaining highly accurate spreadsheets, pre-screening patients for clinical research trials, and conducting inventory tasks in the Clinical Research Department.

-Successfully developed and presented two separate workshops about Hygiene and Women’s Empowerment to students of varying age groups.

-Studied and experienced the culture and history of Cambodia.

-Participated in experiential learning excursions in different cities around the country.

Achievements:

-Shadowed doctors in the departments of Endocrinology, Angiology, and Maxillofacial Surgery for 1.5 weeks at Miguel Servet Hospital and Royo Villanova Hospital.
