Kathryn Bio
A native of Clarksville, Tennessee, Kathryn graduated from Austin Peay State University, majoring in Health Specialization with a minor in Physical Education. During her time at Austin Peay, Kathryn served as a student athletic trainer and a student athletic training intern, assisting with football, volleyball, Men’s/Women’s Cross Country/Track, Women’s Soccer, and Softball. Kathryn received her master's degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While in Chattanooga she served as a student athletic trainer for football, men's basketball, softball and wrestling as well as high school football and softball.
Since making her move to Atlanta to join the staff at Emory Sports Medicine as clinical assistant to Dr. Amadeus Mason, Kathryn also served as the athletic trainer for women's soccer and men's basketball at Georgia Perimeter Junior College and served as the athletic trainer for the Atlanta Xplosion (a women’s full contact football team). Kathryn is currently the lead clinician at Emory Sports Medicine, assisting with the Athletic Training Residency, managing rotation schedules for residents, interns, and fellows, as well as managing every day clinical flow and ensuring proper patient centered care. Kathryn enjoys staying in shape by running and training for races as well as dancing salsa.
