Multiple Category Entries – Pay a $25 entry fee and this allows entry into all categories.
Entries will also be eligible for the following Giant Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) Prizes (competing against other GPC Sites worldwide)
$1,000.00 (US) for Largest Pumpkin
$500.00 (US) for Largest Green Squash
$500.00 (US) for Largest Orange Pumpkin
$500.00 (US) for a New World Giant Pumpkin or Squash of both
Grower of the Year Award – This award will be given to the grower who accumulates the most total pounds from official fruit weighed at multiple sanctioned GPC events. The grower who enters different official fruit at multiple GPC sanctioned events will be eligible for this award.
The GPC will recognize the top three official fruit entered at three separate GPC events. A grower may enter in more that three GPC events but only the three heaviest fruit from separate events will count. The grower must be present with their fruit at all events to be eligible. The grower with the most weight will win an engraved plaque.
Howard Dill Award – This award will be given to the grower of the prettiest, symmetric, orange-orange red pumpkin over 600 pounds. The fruit must be weighed at a sanctioned GPC event for official weight and meet all requirements as stated in Article II. Weight will not be a deciding factor only that the fruit will be over 600 lb. to be eligible.
Each GPC site may send only one entry to the executive committee by no later than October 31st of the year the fruit was weighed for consideration. The winner of this award will receive an engraved plaque.
Rookie of the Year Award – This award will go to the grower of the heaviest official fruit from all first year growers who enter at any GPC sanctioned event. The grower and fruit must adhere to all rule stated in Article II: colour will not be a deciding factor.
