Several themes are introduced on page 2 that will be elucidated further into the report. First, we note that the child had probably contracted a flu or cold prior to death as indicated by the wiping of the face using the right bicep area of her shirt. Second, we see that petechial hemorrhage is present. This indicates strangulation, as opposed to a staged strangulation (the autopsy photos of the neck more or less reveal how real it was). Third, we note that the decedent was dressed in the same outfit she was wearing at the Christmas party; albeit with some of the outer items removed. Though we can’t be certain about all the clothing, the white, collarless shirt is our first clue that she had not changed outfits since coming home. Finally, we note that urinary discharge is indicated. This is consistent with bladder voiding upon expiration; something corroborated later in this report when the bladder is reported to be empty. We will also see in what follows where this voiding event occurred, thus providing a place of death.

Location of Bodily Remains

JBR’s favorite blanket, lying on the “wine cellar” floor where her remains were found. The white powdery substance is concrete powder by which a foot impression was made but never satisfactorily matched to anyone.
