STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Monday, September 08, 2014 – Looking for all things Italian? Then you won’t want to miss The Italian Cultural Foundation’s upcoming celebration at Casa Belvedere on Staten Island. On the weekend of September 27 - 28, 2014 atop picturesque Grymes Hill, the exquisite and historic mansion known as Casa Belvedere will present Motori D’Italia – an Exotic Italian Car Show – a major highlight of its annual Festa D’Italia.
The eye-candy motoring event will take place on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. with a sampling of the alluring vehicles on Sunday as well.
“We are delighted to once again offer this exclusively Italian showcase, which annually pays tribute to some of the auto industry’s greatest marquees,” said Michael Pucciarelli, one of the Motori D’Italia chairpersons. The display will provide an opportunity to get a close-up look at some of the most distinctive -- new and classic – Italian performance and luxury automobiles, such as Alfa Romeos, Ferraris, Fiats, Lamborghinis, Lancias and Maseratis. And new to the lineup is the recently introduced Maserati Ghibli, courtesy of Ferrari Maserati of Central New Jersey. Raffle tickets will be available to take a chance on winning a 36 month lease for this luxury automobile.
Festa D’Italia, will feature continuous music and entertainment by some of today’s young new talent as well as seasoned performers singing traditional Italian and American favorites. During the festivities there will also be Italian specialty foods and pastries, wine tasting, exhibits, culinary demonstrations, games, rides, crafts, silent auction, raffles and more. Also, debuting for the first time ever will be a special photo exhibit titled “The Greats!” featuring and capturing moments in time of Italian-American Sports Legends.
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available with wide range visibility and distribution. Please contact the office for information and a participation form. The foundation is also seeking volunteers for the event.
Casa Belvedere is located at 79 Howard Ave., in the Staten Island community of Grymes Hill. Admission to any one day of the event is only $10 for adults; children age 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, are admitted free of charge.
The hours are: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For additional information about Motori D’Italia and Festa D’Italia, The Italian Cultural Foundation may be reached at 718-273-7660.
Proceeds from all facets of this fundraiser will benefit the “Preserving the Past, Enriching the Future” Capital Campaign as well as the Foundation’s numerous arts, culture and educational programs.
