Coordination is the function of management that aims to achieve harmony of individual efforts towards the accomplishment of company’s objectives. It is the linking together for common actions of the different units and sub-units within an organisation. Without coordination, people and department would lose sight of their roles within the organisation and be tempted to pursue
their own selfish interests, often at the expense of the organisation’s goals.
