Left the house around 6pm yesterday. I knew I needed to leave sooner. I forgot if the road was still blocked at dixie and comm. It is! I had to do the backtracking. Cussing the whole time because I knew my window of opportunity was small. Well I get there just before dark. Not many people fishing. After fishing for about 20 min. one of the guys said that he caught the last pompano 15 min before I got there. Well that was the last one for the night. Damn roadblock!!!!! I soaked shrimp on a pomp rig all night only to pull up a decent size bluefish. Bait was hardly touched all night. As I was working some shrimp under the pier I got hit with a nice little mangrove at about 13-14 inches. In the cooler he goes. A couple guys were shrimping and Ben gave me the net so I could add some shrimp to my snapper dinner. I left around 11:30. Here is a pic of tonight dinner.

Late report. Hit the pier Wed. at 6 am-2 pm. Very nice group of people fishing, except for the one guy with the short fuse . Many good size pomps with two or three that must have been taking some of Canseco's pills. Some blue fish and jacks mixed in and one really good size spanish mac. I got three Pompano and one jack. Tried for macs for a good while booth on the bottom and with arts with no success. Hope this run last just a little longer.

Its going to be pretty nasty saturday.
SATURDAY NIGHT
EAST NORTHEAST WINDS 12 TO 15 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO
5 FEET. NORTH NORTHEAST SWELL AROUND 2 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A
MODERATE CHOP.
Is this even worth to fish?? I wanted to head out saturday night for a bit but with this cold front and nasty seas i dont think its going to be any good. What do you think. I wanted to soak a big bait as well but i think i wont even hold out there.

I was there today from 5:30am to 7pm. Very slow day. Didnt see any pomps come up. Someone caught a nice mutton from the t at daybreak. I stayed hoping for an afternoon bite but it never happened. Tally was 2 macs,1 yellow jack, 1 large sand perch and a margate. Thank you Kenny for the mac.

When the storm came thru early in the day, the conditions got killed and fishing changed. Now it's glass flat clear.

Fished next to you. Slow day with all the wrong winds and clear water. I enjoyed a nice pancake and egg special from the dinner. Had some great rest. I leaned my rods against the rails for about 4 hours in the early am. I ended up with the Big crap slam.
1. Needlefish on a yozuri
2. Barracuda on a crappie jig
3. Nurse shark on a grunt head
Waters turned a little better afternoon, hopefully the current will bring some fish up.

My mom is visiting from WI. My kid and I took her out to the "T" last night about 5:30 thinking I'd set her up catching some grunts and get her home by 10:00 or so. At about 5:30 AM at 12hrs w/ 5 lines out rigged with ballyhoo, I flipped our 30th bluefish over the rail. Lots of average size, some down to the 18" range. But there were a couple sows like I hadn't seen lately, probably around 30" and fat.

Looking foward to the reports. Tommy thanks for the help, See you guys next saturday for the super moon bite!!

the whole weekend was basically good for chilling, boat trips and sunbathing, not sure for shore fishing...anyway your live shrimps were put to a decent use, fished the reef stretch and the pilons in search of a hogfish and ended up with a 14" grover and a 13" margate, one guy caught a keeper ytail at the T on a live shrimp. Tourist and googan city other than that
That was it for the day

Went 9am-12 on Saturday morning. Didn't see anyone catch anything except for some 1 bluefish, 1 jack, and some cudas. Some larger cudas under the pier provided some fun for about 30m and made-up for an otherwise uneventful day.

last nights report:
Fished from about 7 pm til a bit after midnight or so. things seemed quiet but then the bites came through for a bit after dark. Hooked up a small margate. 3 jacks. a bluefish that was about 18-20 inches:P didnt flip him fast enough he fell off the damn hook at the rail, lol. saw a couple other jacks come up and small runner. CUT BAIT! I switched from shrimp to cut after getting those jacks over but nothing was hitting from then on. A cuda came over just before we left. houndies ALL OVER the place til 11 pm then poof they were gone. saw a lot of smaller fish hanging around under them but they wouldnt bite on anything as it seemed. good times though and a very cool relaxing night nonetheless. oh yeah look out for that big pelican with the white and yellow on his head. he has no fear saw him keep going after this one blonde kid, lol. my gf said help him!! i said,"hey im on his good side it seems he didnt come after me and i was right next to the bird. I'll keep our relationship as it is."

Fished today all day got 7-8 cudas 2 on my secret bait for them that people make fun of me for using and the rest on live shrimp down in the surf sightcasting them. All in all water is too clear to catch anything else so might as well make the best of it.

I fished today from 12:30pm till about 8pm with my Dad. The water was murky and I thought the bite would be nice. Ended up with two jacks and three blues. It was kind of slow considering the conditions with the high winds and murky waters. Nice to be out there anyway:)

Went yesturday afternoon with my buddy fishing before the T. Didn't catch anything but we did have a couple swipes on top water freelining out. Saw at the T they where hooking up on bottom rigs with what seemed to be bluefish. Windy day.
