CHICK BULLOCK

Chick Bullock was among the most prolific of all American recording artists of the 1930s and early 1940s. The following chapter attempts to list all the records, excluding waltzes, issued under his name, as distinct from those dance bands with which he also sang. Not all are of equal jazz merit, but as complete a listing as possible is believed to be of greater use than a selective one, in view of the high proportion of jazz accompaniments among them. In preparing this chapter, I had the help of Chick Bullock himself, through the kindness and patience of a mutual friend, Peter Tanner. See also ARC-Brunswick studio bands.
