There is much to be commended in the teaching of Confucius. Start by talking about values that Christianity and Confucianism share. Christians can agree that much of the teaching of Confucius (number 7 above) is similar to the morals taught in Christianity. Ask what Confucianism teaches that is valuable to a disciple of Confucius. Learn about the person’s worldview. Since Confucius did not teach about God, you may explain that the Bible not only teaches good morals, it teaches about our relationship with God. Ask if you may share how you came to know that you will spend eternity with God.
