THE ANTI-TYPE OF JOSHUA, THE JUDGE
Type: Deut. 31:7. Joshua, the judge who led God's people into the promised land of Israel was a type of Jesus, the Judge and Deliverer.
Anti-Type of Joshua Jesus is the Greek name for the Hebrew "Joshua/Jeshua". Jesus led God's people into the Kingdom of God, and he will lead God's people into the promised land on the new earth that he will create at the end of the age (Luke 1:30-33; John 14:1-6; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 21:1-4; 22:12). Jesus is the Judge of the righteous and sinners (Matt. 24:31,32; John 5:22; 2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:11,12).
