District Track & Field
We had a number of students compete at the 10-12 Years Bayside District Track and Field carnival this term. All students did their best and represented Capalaba exceedingly with a number of students making it to finals. Matty A. earnt a place in the Bayside District team competing at the Metropolitan east carnival for the 200m sprint.
Oztag Workshop
Getting tagged and loving it!! Capalaba Oztag recently visited Capalaba State College and what a great time they had. In the clinics with Insert Laetitia the kids learnt the basics of Oztag including the evasive manoeuvres of Twisting and Spinning along with how to make the perfect Tag. Cluster Sport Term 3
Years 5 and 6 participated in their first cluster sport day with their second day coming up. All students were well behaved and showed excellent sportsmanship. Students competed in Rugby League, AFL, Soccer, Netball, Oztag, and Tennis.
Redlands Tennis Challenge
This year Capalaba State College entered the Redlands Tennis Challenge. A group of students from year 1 – 6 were chosen to represent our College against a number of schools in our district in Red ball, Orange ball, and Green ball tennis. All students worked hard the whole day spending a considerable amount of time in the hot winter sun on the court playing. All students did an excellent job and upheld our high standard of sportsmanship.
