CHAMPAGNE – Demi-Sec & Prelude Cuvée012 Pol Roger, Rich, Extra Cuvée de Reserve, Non-Vintage 75.00 (34% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Meunier) The nose opens with beguiling hints of beeswax and apricot which are repeated on the palate and reinforced with notes of acacia honey. Despite the sweetness it is remarkably refreshing and the acidity cuts right through the heart of the champagne leaving the palate cleansed. This would be the perfect toast to serve with wedding cake but equally it complements tarts and crumbles. Makes it the perfect drink for occasions when something a little less dry is called for.
(40/45% Pinot Noir, 30/35% Pinot Meunier, 20/25% Chardonnay) A beautiful yellow colour with deep golden glints, and fine, even mousse. An intense fragrance reminiscent of ripe fruit with notes of brioche and toast. Round and mellow in the mouth, combined with a delightful freshness due to its’ mild acidity and maintaining a pleasant silkiness.
(55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay) International Wine Challenge 2013 – Gold Medal, Decanter World Wine Awards 2013 – Gold Medal Antique, bronze gold. Delicate, nonchalant bubbles. On the nose the fruit is ripe, juicy and melts into pastry-like flavours, such as caramel, vanilla and dark rum: roasted pineapple, vanilla pear and flambéed banana. On the palate a lively attack on candied citrus fruits and roasted pineapple. A duality which balances itself between smoothness and juiciness – cinnamon and vanilla-roasted pear. A structured, full-bodied, melt-in-the-mouth wine. 021 Taittinger, Cuvée Nocturne, Sec, N.V. 95.00 (40% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir/Pinot Meunier) Taittinger is the owner of one of the most important vineyard in Champagne. Nocturne is a Champagne made with reserve wines from great vintages. Long ageing in cellars provides this wine with maturity and mellowness. It is the refined Champagne for a successful evening.
A delicate straw yellow in colour. This vintage sparkling white wine has a fine and persistent perlage, whilst the flavour is fruity and slightly aromatic with a persistent finish. An elegant aperitif.

Here, unpolluted lakes and mountain air give these wines a characteristic freshness. A Chenin-based blend of important local grape varieties, this wine is bone dry with delicate, crisp apple and light brioche notes.

It has a toasty nose, a lively mousse and an elegant dry palate of ripe orchard fruit, making it perfect for parties and family celebrations. 022 Classic Cuvée, Nyetimber Estate, 2004, West Sussex, England 85.00 (60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir/Pinot Meunier) Produced from a mixture of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, this Classic Cuvée displays tiny bubbles in a light golden hue. The aroma of sweet fruits such as peaches and apricots are strong and fresh. Ginger and vanilla contribute a further layer of interest. The palate has a sweet fruity start with strong intensity of flavour which combined with delicate bubbles fill the mouth. Flavours of roasted almonds and baked peach are also present. The high fruit intensity lingers on a long and fresh finish. 451 Pelorus, NV, Cloudy Bay, Marlborough, New Zealand 52.00 (Chardonnay/Pinot Noir) A superb sparkling wine from one of New Zealand's most-coveted producers. The pale straw colour and aromas of ripe citrus fruits indicate the Chardonnay origins of Pelorus N.V. A bouquet of apple and lemon complements fresh bready notes derived from two years bottle ageing on lees. On the nose there is a very potent impression of strawberry fruit, with a subtle peachy background and a soft, harmonious character. On the palate this gives an initially sweet-edged impression, with very pure, fruity flavours and a crisp mousse that is lively and fresh in the mouth. This stays crisp and fruity through the mid-palate, with enough richness to be mouth-filling and voluminous, but with that racy edge of crisp fruit and acidity never far from the core of this wine finely honed and balanced wine. This wine is also available by the glass (125ml) 11.50 per glass 039 Pipier-Heidsieck, Rosé Sauvage 79.00 (55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay) Wine Spectator 2012 – 93 points A flamboyant, scarlet red robe – a recognisable signature. Delicate and lively effervescence. A rich and expressive red fruit nose – blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry and Gariguette strawberry, freshened with citrus, mandarin and blood orange. A finish lifted with paprika and saffron. A brisk, original and juicy wine which simultaneously offers black cherry, blackberry, pink grapefruit and blood orange notes. This structure and fruitiness is enriched with warm, spicy notes of Espelette pepper, tea and liquorice. 491 Henriot, Brut Rosé 99.00 (48% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay, 7% Pinot Meunier) Wine Spectator – 94 points, Stephen Tanzer – 92 points Salmon pink with copper highlights. Fine, persistent effervescence. Intense, complex and pleasantly fruity, the nose reveals aromas of red berry fruit (raspberry, strawberry) and freshly squeezed citrus fruit (pink grapefruit, mandarin), then light vegetal fragrances (blackcurrant buds) and floral scents (gillyflower, iris), finishing on delicious notes (candied fruit in particular) and mineral tones. The palate offers lots of freshness and excellent balance in a harmonious aromatic register. Length is remarkable. Lovely balsamic and floral notes precede the spicy aromas that contribute freshness for a delicious finish. 455 Bollinger, Rosé 95.00 (62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay, 14% Meunier) Bollinger are famed for their rich and savoury style of wines, dominated by Pinot Noir and underwritten by oak fermentation and extensive lees maturation. It seemed only a matter of time before the release of a non-vintage rosé and this wine has been well worth the wait. Dry, powerful and very serious indeed, this highly polished rosé combines notes of plum, patisserie, cinnamon and spice. With structure and weight and harmony of vibrant flavours right across the palate, this is a delicious accompaniment that can match a variety of dishes. Bollinger 035 Mumm, Brut, Rosé 80.00 (60% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Meunier) Delicate and smooth with its’ clear colour, a mixture of amber and crimson. Rich aromas in which the red fruit comes through with a slight presence of caramel and vanilla. Lively palate and perfectly balanced, reflecting the strong personality of the Pinot Noir. 031 Ruinart Brut, Rosé 95.00041 Ruinart Brut, Rosé (half bottle) 65.00(55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay)The nose is fine, fresh, subtle and spring-like evoking fragrances of red fruits – cherry raspberry,wild strawberry and red berries. Their relatively young primary aromas present a wonderfulbouquet. The first impression is balanced and fresh. The wine is supple, round and silky on thepalate developing fruity notes with a deliciously bold finish.037 Laurent Perrier, Cuvée Rosé, Brut 105.00 (100% Pinot Noir) The grapes, from Grand Crû vineyards, are macerated for three days before pressing to give this wine its colour and flavour of blackcurrants.
