CONTRACTOR SAFETY TRAINING BASIC ORIENTATION PLUS® AND REFRESHER CLASSES General Information: All members of the Delaware Valley Safety Council require the successful completion of safety training. Acceptable courses are those managed by the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC), which include: the Basic Orientation Plus® and Basic Orientation Plus Refresher® curriculums. The safety courses are administered by Gloucester County College at the Business and Industry Training Center. The center is located at 1492 Tanyard Road Sewell, NJ 08080 Should the school close for inclement weather, the emergency school closing information is as follows: Emergency closing numbers — Day class is 814, Evening class is 2814 Recorded messages may be accessed by calling 856-468-5000, or through the news media (i.e., KYW 1060). Registration Requirements: To register for a class, the registration form must be completely filled out and submitted via e-mail, fax or USPS. For identification purposes, a current state or government photo ID is required. Please note that the previous DVSC Photo ID Card is not accepted as a form of ID. For security purposes, all members of the DVSC require Social Security Verification (SSV). This process validates the authenticity of trainees as well as their credentials. We strongly recommend that trainees bring their original social security card as it provides a means of verification during the review process. Class Fees: The fee for either class is $50 and payment is due at the time of service. Class Schedule:
* Please note the Basic Orientation Plus Refresher class has specific requirements that include: The BOP training has been successfully completed and not expired by more than 60 days. The BOPR may be attended two consecutive years, after which the BOP must be attended. Registration Form Registration Information: Please register early due to limited seating. Also, classes start promptly at the scheduled times and trainees are not permitted in the classroom once class begins. Finally, you may send as many employees as needed to a training session; however, we ask that you fill out separate registration forms for each employee attending on different dates.
