What We Believe
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, I Peter 1:2, II Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God; co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5; 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, I Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make the world aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. (II Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 2:12; 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18)
Humanity
Every human being is made in the image of God. They are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although God designed humans to have fellowship with him, they became alienated from God through disobedience. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin against God. We are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through our own efforts–only through faith in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6a, Romans 3:23, Colossians 1:21, Isaiah 59:1-2)
Eternity
Humans were created to exist forever. They will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. When a person dies, they will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Eternal separation from God happens in Hell. Eternal union with God occurs in Heaven. (John 3:16, I John 2:25; 5:11-13, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15)
Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God to humanity. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6; 1:12, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:1)
Eternal Security
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, a believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security. (John 10:29, II Timothy 1:12, Hebrews 7:25; 10:10-14, I Peter 1:3-5)
The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to everyone. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, II Timothy 1:13, Psalm 119:105,160, Psalm 12:6, Proverbs 30:5)
The Church
The Church is a fellowship of believers, called out of the world to participate in worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and service. The Church is called to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and God’s reconciling grace in the power of the Holy Spirit, inviting persons to receive salvation and follow Christ as His disciples. As disciples, we seek justice for all persons and the reform of society. (Matthew 16:15-19; 28:18-20 Rom. 10:9-10; Acts 1:8; 16:30-33; Acts 2:42-48 ; I Corinthians 6:19; 11:23-26; Galatians 3:26-28; Eph. 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:23-25; James 1:27; 2:8; I Peter 2:9)

what we believe
You are infinitely loved by a generous Almighty God who revealed Himself in the person of Jesus Christ and wants to be in relationship with you. When we receive this love, by receiving Jesus, we become the children of God.
The Bible
The Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. We accept the Bible as our guide in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)
The Trinity
The one true God, is revealed in the Bible as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Galatians 4:4-5; 1 Peter 1:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:6-8)
Man's Sin
Man was created good, but fell from his original state into sin; he has no power to redeem himself. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)
Jesus Saves
The all-sufficient atonement by the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses anyone who believes on Him from all sin, and salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone. (Romans 3:24, 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:8)
Baptism
Water baptism by immersion, as taught in the Bible, identifies the believer with the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4)
Holy Living
Holy living, separation from sin, and dependence upon God are mandated by God and are for the natural and spiritual benefit of the Christian. (Romans 12:1, Colossians 1:22; I Corinthians 3:16-17)
Holy Spirit Baptism
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate, distinct experience, subsequent to salvation, providing imbuement of power for life and service, accompanied by speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:2, 6:18)
The Church
The church is the Body of Christ, chosen to reveal God's plan and purpose in the earth, and the local expression of this church must function according to New Testament order and organization. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23)
Spiritual Gifts
The manifestation of all gifts of the Holy Spirit in the local assembly is an act of God dividing the gifts amongst the believers severally as He wills. (1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Romans 12:3-6; Acts 1:4-8; Luke 24:49)
Praise & Worship
All expressions of praise/worship recorded in the Old and New Testaments are to be exercised in the local church and in private life. (Psalm 102:18, 81:1-5, 33:1, 135:3, 54:6, 18:3; John 4:20-26; Philippians 3:3; John 8:32; 1 Corinthians 14:14-15; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Ephesians 5:19-20; 1 Peter 2:9)
Jesus' Return
The return of Jesus Christ for His Church is imminent and He will establish His Kingdom on the earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Isaiah 65:17; Revelation 21: 1-2; Matthew 5:17)
Eternal Life
The promise of eternal life is for all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Savior, and eternal damnation is for those who reject Him and die in their sins. (Matthew 19:16, 25:46; John 3:15, 5:39; Romans 6:23; 1 John 5:11, 13, 20)
Holy Communion
The Eucharist '(thanksgiving) or the Lord's Supper is a memorial of our covenant made with God through the blood of Christ and His Body. (Matthew 26:26-29; Hebrews 9:18-29)
Marriage
The marriage rite is a sacred covenant made between a man and woman, and God. (Genesis 2:18-25;1 Corinthians 7:33-34; Hebrews 13:4)
Excellence
Excellence is the way of the Kingdom of God. (Job 37:23; Psalm 8:1,9; Psalm 16:3; Isaiah 35:2)
