Statement of Faith17

We believe that the BIBLE is the inspired Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15-16 and Peter 2:21

We believe in the unity of the one True and Living God, who is eternal, Self existent "I AM", who has revealed Himself as one Being in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4. Mark 12:29 and Matthew 28:19

We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphal ascension and abiding intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His second Advent as the blessed hope set before all believers.

We believe in Salvation through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and was raised from among the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, and through His blood we have redemption.

We believe that baptism by total immersion in water is enjoyed upon all who have really repented and have truly believed with all their hearts in Christ as Saviour and Lord. Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47, Acts 2:38-39.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and evidence of speaking in tongues. Acts 2:4

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Offices have been set by God in the church, as recorded in the New Testament. 1Corinthians 12:4-11 & 28, Ephesians 4:7-16.

We believe that the breaking of bread (communion) is enjoyed upon all believers until the Lord returns. Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:20-34.

Practices

Dedication of Children.

Prayer for Baptism by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer for the sick

We believe in receiving tithes and offerings as a means God uses to sustain His local church and should be given out of a love relationship with God.

What We Believe

Simply put, we exist to point people toward Jesus and create followers of Jesus who will one day point others toward Jesus.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. It alone is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truths.  (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.  (Deuteronomy 6:4, 5; Matthew 28:19)

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but through voluntary disobedience he sinned. Sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. The Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life and is our only example of how to live.   (Genesis 1:27; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and that He was crucified and died in order that we may be forgiven of all our sins and be able to be in right relationship with God. He was buried and rose again from the dead in three days to prove victory over death and to empower us in life.   (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-23; Matthew 28:5, 6)

We believe in the salvation of sinners through grace and faith. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human effort. We receive forgiveness of our sins when we repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and confess that He is our Lord and Savior. To repent is to commit to turn away from our sins and follow Jesus Christ.   (Ephesians 2:8, 9)

We believe that Jesus commands each believer to be baptized in water. Water baptism is administered to those who are born again. When a believer is baptized in water, we believe that God fills the believer with the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling them to use spiritual gifts.   (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16-18)

We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit, given at Pentecost, is the promise of the Father to all believers. The Holy Spirit endows each believer with power to serve God wholeheartedly and to serve others. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, manifests Himself through the believer in spiritual gifts which are used in order to build and sanctify the Church. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are to be in operation according to biblical parameters.   (John 15:26; 1 Corinthians 12-14)

We believe that God has equipped each of us so that we can successfully achieve God’s purpose for our lives which is to worship God, find and fulfill our role in the Church, and serve the community in which we live.   (Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 4:10-16)

We believe that God desires to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and victorious lives so that we may effectively help others.   (3 John 2-4)

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or Hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.   (John 3:1-21; 1 Peter 1:3, 4)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.   (John 14:1-3; Revelation 22:7, 20)
