During testing, conductors first loaded the fuel into a 100 l syringe and set it in the syringe holder inside of the test article. It remained there until it needed to be refilled or switched. Once
testing was ready to commence, the conductors loaded 4 drops (180 ll) of oxidizer into the crucible using a 3 ml plastic pipette. Dry air or humid air purged the test article until the desired conditions were reached or until 10 s before acquiring data on the VI. Once 180 s elapsed from
when the oxidizer was inserted, data acquisition began and the test conductors manually actuated the syringe within 20 s.
After test completion, conductors sprayed down any remaining propellant with deionized water and cleaned the crucible with Kimwipes.
