Juanita Smith who married Edgell Bailey. Edgell Bailey and Juanita Bailey had 2 children:

Rawley Bailey who married a Markenia; and,

Robert Lee Bailey ("Robert Bailey");

Stella Holmes born November 3, 1897 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married William DeBoard on August 13, 1930 in Kanawha County, and died about 1925. William DeBoard and Stella DeBoard had a daughter named:

Icie Belle Holmes ("Icie Belle Holmes") born October 23, 1901 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Vaughn Miller ("Van Miller"?) on September 3, 1921 in Kanawha County, and later shot and killed Vaughn Miller in a domestic dispute involving his excessive drinking. The children of Vaughn Miller and Icie Miller were:

Simmons (“Edward Simmons”) on November 8, 1896 in Kanawha County, West Virginia when she was 20 years of age. Edward Simmons was born about 1874 and was married when he was 22 years of age; and,

Cavender”) born August 22, 1876 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Jabaz Hall ("Jubal Hall", "Jobe Hall"? & "Jabe Hall"?) on April 9, 1893 in Kanawha County, West Virginia when she was 17 years of age with Rev. M.E. Jackson performing the ceremony, died January 8, 1952 at the age of 75, and is buried in the Jarrett Cemetery. Jabaz Hall was born November 11, 1971, was married when he was 21 years of age, and died October 10, 1926. Jabaz Hall and Hester Hall had 6 children:

Hubert Hall ("Herbert Hall"?) born either January 13, 1904 or on May 13, 1894494, first married Pearley Miller, later married Nora Carolyn Jordon (“Nora Flowers Jordan”494, "Nora Jordon" & "Nora Jordan"?) about 1940, died May 2, 1962 at the age of 68, and is buried in the Rob Jones Cemetery in Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Perley Miller was born April 26, 1896 and died May 5, 1936. The children of Hubert Hall and Pearley Hall were:

Velma Ann Hall ("Velma Hall") born December 12, 1913, first married Cyril C. Neiderschmidt ("Cyril Neiderschmidt" & "Cy Neiderschmidt") about 1935, and later married Ralph William Albright ("Ralph Albright") who was born January 21, 1905, lived in Charleston, West Virginia, and died April 23, 1971. Cyril Neiderschmidt was born June 9, 1907, died November 18, 1955 at the age of 47, and was buried in the Jones Cemetery on Kanawha Five Mile, Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Cryl Neiderschmidt and Velma Neiderschmidt had 3 children:

James Neiderschmidt born July 9, 1936 and died December 18, 1937;

Virginia Lee Neiderschmidt ("Virginia Neiderschmidt") born March 19, 1939 and married Gilbert Austin Young who was born January 13, 1938. Gilbert Young and Virginia Young had 2 children:

Jordan ("Lillian Jordan") about 1948, died October 1, 1969 at the age of 50, and is buried in the Elk Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Lillian Jordan Hall ("Lillian Hall") later married a Lafferty, died January 10, 1993 at the age of 62 at the home of her sister Katherine Burgess of Charleston, West Virginia and is buried in the Elk Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Owen Hall and Janet Hall had a daughter by the name of:

Donna Kay Hall ("Donna Hall") who was born July 21, 1941 and married Bobby Lee Hodges ("Bobbie Hodges" & "Robert Hodges") December 24, 1959 in the Elk Valley Advent Christian Church with Rev. Ural Finney performing the ceremony, and later lived in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Bobbie Hodges was the son of Otmer Hodges and he and Donna Hodges had 2 children:

Bobby Lee Hodges, Jr. ("Bobby Hodges"); and,

Lisa Ann Hodges ("Lisa Hodges" & "Lesa Hodges") born July 2, 1964 and died October 3, 1967 at the age of 3 years.

Pearl Darlene Hall ("Pearl Hall" & "Darlene Hall") born February 7, 1950, married Ray Slack December 20, 1968 at Parsons Chapel Community Church in Elkview, West Virginia with Rev. James Proctor performing the ceremony, and later lived in Elkview, West Virginia and in Jupiter, Florida. Ray Slack ("Roy Slack"?) was the son of L.P. Slack of Elkview, West Virginia;

Jessica Eliane Hall ("Jessica Hall") born March 2, 1951, married a McDonough and lived in Marion, North Carolina; and,

Gary Owen Hall ("Gary Hall") born January 3, 1953 and married Linda Diane Fierbaugh ("Linda Fierbaugh") of Dunbar, West Virginia on August 10, 1979 at the Dunbar Church of Christ with Rev. Donald Treadway performing the ceremony. Linda Fierbaugh was the daughter of Charles A. Fierbaugh ("Charles Fierbaugh") of Dunbar, West Virginia;

Nora Carolyn Hall ("Nora Hall") born February 8, 1942, married Marlin Lee Pritt ("Marlin Pritt" & "Jack Pritt") July 22, 1961 with Rev. Raphael S. Cavender ("Raphael Cavender") performing the ceremony. Marlin Pritt was born October 30, 1939, died October 29, 1994 at the age of 54 from a heart attack, and is buried in the Rob Jones Cemetery in Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. The children of Marlin Pritt and Nora Pritt were:

Terry Wayne Pritt ("Terry Pritt") born May 5, 1962 and lived in Charleston, West Virginia;

William Owen Pritt ("William Pritt") born may 2, 1964 and lived in Charleston, West Virginia;

Sherry Elaine Pritt ("Sherry Pritt") born May 5, 1966 and who married a Humphreys and lived in St. Albans, West Virginia; and,

Brian Pritt who lived in Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia;

Roma Hall, a twin, born July 12, 1901, married Thelma T. Taylor ("Thelma Taylor") June 5, 1924, died December 22, 1983 at the age of 82, and is buried in the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Thelma Taylor was born May 31, 1903, died January 10, 1991 at the age of 87, and is buried with her husband. Roma Hall and Thelma Hall had a daughter named:

Beatrice Eileen Hall ("Beatrice Hall") who married Ernest Franklin Casdorph ("Ernest Casdorph") June 4, 1946 at the Elkview Baptist Church with Rev. G.C. Hoff performing the ceremony, and later lived in Charleston, West Virginia. Ernest Casdorph was the son of O.F. Casdroph of Charleston, West Virginia and died June 5, 1979. The children of Ernest Casdorph and Beatrice Casdorph were:

Ernest Jeffery Casdorph ("Ernest Casdorph") born September 14, 1954 and married a Cathy in 1976; and,

Bradley Hall Casdorph ("Bradley Casdorph") born May 25, 1957 and married Diana Snyder;

Rosa Hall, a twin, born July 12, 1901, first married Eugene Price, and later married Joseph Providenti. Eugene Price and Rosa Price had a daughter named:

Cathleen Ellen Price ("Cathleen Price") born July 10, 1923 married Leo Leland Cavender ("Leo Cavender"), and lived in St. Albans, West Virginia. Leo Cavender was born June 4, 1923, was the son of Earl Cavender in Charleston, West Virginia, and apparently later became a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. For the descendants of Cathleen Price, see the descendants of Leo Cavender;

Thelma Ann Hall ("Thelma Hall") born June 1, 1916, first married Adam B. Cobb ("Adam Cobb"), later married Waitman Drake, still later married for the third time to an unknown person, and still later married Charles Bonner. Adam Cobb was born about 1913 and died August 17, 1961 from a heart attack at the age of 48 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. Adam Cobb and Thelma Cobb had a daughter named:

Rose W. Cobb ("Rosa Cobb" & "Rose Cobb") born about 1933, first married Fred Frame, later married for the second and third times to unknown persons, and lived in South Charleston, West Virginia. Fred Frame and Rose Frame had 2 children:

Sharon Frame; and,

Jane Frame;

Rose Cobb had two other unknown children by her second marriage.

Waitman Drake and Thelma Drake had a daughter named:

Lorine A. Drake ("Lorine Drake") who married Floyd Dyke. Floyd Dyke and Lorine Dyke had an unknown child who was born in April 1979 and who was killed as a result of an automobile accident in which the automobile turned over in a river near Chillicothe, Ohio and the child was drowned.

Thelma Hall by her third marriage had a daughter named:



Shirley;

an infant daughter who was born about 1897 and lived only 1 week, and is buried in the Jack Cavender Cemetery in Four Mile on Coopers Creek in Kanawha County, West Virginia; and,

Hobert Hall born about 1897 and died about 1898 when 13 months old, and is buried in the Jack Cavender Cemetery in Four Mile on Coopers Creek in Kanawha County, West Virginia;

(NOTE: Some459 say the children of Andrew Jackson Cavender (“Andrew J. Cavender” & “A.J. Cavender”) included Victoria Cavender born about 1867, Sarah F. Cavender (“Sarah Cavender” & “S.F. Cavender”) born about 1870, Martha E. Cavender (“Martha Cavender” & “M.E. Cavender”) born about 1873, and Hester A. Cavender (“Hester Cavender” & “H.A. Cavender) born about 1877, while others contend they were the children of his brother Wilson L. Cavender (“Wilson Cavender” & “W.L. Cavender”).



CHARLES WILLIAM CAVENDER ("Charles Cavender", “C.W. Cavender” & “Charles W. Cavender”) was born about 1838494 or 1839 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Elizabeth J. Burdette (“Elizabeth Burdette” &"Elizabeth Burditt"?) on April 16, 1857 in Kanawha County, West Virginia at the age of 18 with Rev. James H. Lilly ("James Lilly") performing the ceremony, was a member of the Two Mile Grove Baptist Church, died in 1917 at the age of 79 years and 11 days in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and is buried in the Wilson Cavender Cemetery in Five Mile, Coopers Creek, West Virginia. Elizabeth Burdette was born about 1838 in Fayette County, West Virginia, was the daughter of John Burdette and Jane Walker, was 19 years of age when she married, and died November 18, 1914 in Charleston, West Virginia at the age of 78. It was recorded that Charles Cavender lived on 6 Mile of Coopers Creek, West Virginia, was a very poor person, had nothing, would not provide for his family, and lived on a farm which later belonged to William Henry Jordan ("William Jordan" & "Bud Jordan"). Charles Cavender and Elizabeth Cavender had 10 children:

Virginia Cavender; and,

Earl Cavender;

(2) JAMES M. CAVENDER ("James Cavender", “J.M. Cavender” & “James Monroe Cavender”?) born April 29, 1858 in Two Mile Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia;

(3) ANDREW MELTON CAVENDER ("Andrew Cavender", “A.M. Cavender” & “Andrew Marion Cavender”) born July 26, 1860 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Minerva Frances Walker ("Minerva Frances Walker" & "Minerva Walker") on August 14, 1881 at the age of 21, with Rev. A.D. Tully ("A.H. Tully"?) performing the ceremony in Kanawha County, West Virginia, died March 7, 1922 in Kanawha County, West Virginia at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 12 days, and is buried in the Wilson Cavender Cemetery in Five Mile, Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Minerva Walker was born about 1865, was the daughter of William Walker and Susanna Sizemore (“Susan Sizemore”), was 16 years of age when she married, died June 30, 1930 and is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. On December 19, 1927, Minerva Cavender married Frank Brown and had no children. Andrew Cavender and Minerva Walker Cavender (“Minerva Cavender”) had 8 children:

(i)Mertie Ellen Cavender ("Mertie Cavender") born May 8, 1882, married John Wesley Jones ("John Jones") on February 10, 1901 at the age of 18 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, with Rev. M.E. Jackson performing the ceremony, was a member of the Aarons Fork Church for 47 years, died October 3, 1943 at the age of 61, and is buried in the Baxter Cemetery in Aarons Fork, West Virginia. Greenberry Jones and A.M. Cavender were the witnesses. John Jones was born May 22, 1869, was the son of Samuel L. Jones ("Samuel Jones") and Mary Wines, was widowed and age 32 when he married Mertie Cavender, and died July 21, 1953 at the age of 84. John Jones and Mertie Cavender Jones (“Mertie Jones”) had 8 children:



Corbett E. Jones ("Corbett Jones") who lived in New York, New York;

Samuel Milton Jones ("Samuel Melton Jones" & "Samuel Jones") born July 14, 1902, first married Hazel Rose, later married Mollie Reece July 10, 1937, and lived in East Charleston, West Virginia. Samuel Jones and Hazel Jones had a daughter named:

Eva Elizabeth Jones ("Eva Jones") born April 11, 1924, who married Arnold Boggs who died in 1981 and they had no children.

Brenda Kay Jones ("Brenda Jones", formerly "Brenda Argabright") an adopted daughter born August 13, 1944 and married Clair Curtis McKemy, Jr. ("Clair McKemy"). Clair McKemey and Brenda McKemy had the following children:

Richard Curtis McKemy ("Richard McKemy") born September 28, 1964;

John Scott McKemy ("John McKemy") born April 8, 1967; and,

Palma Ann McKemy ("Palma McKemy") born July 31, 1970; and,

Dennis Owen Jones ("Dennis Jones") born November 12, 1952;

Mamie F. Jones ("Mamie Jones") born February 22, 1904, died April 21, 1911 of measles and pneumonia;

Ira Delbert Jones ("Ira Jones") born July 15, 1906, married Mamie Tripplett ("Mamie Triplett" & "Mamie Tripplet"?), died February 12, 1976 and lived in Charleston, West Virginia. Mamie Tripplett was born about 1905. Ira Jones and Mamie Jones had 3 children:

Lorraine Ruth Jones ("Lorraine Jones") born April 19, 1932 and married William Eugene Kreber ("William Kreber") May 24, 1969 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in St. Albans, West Virginia, with Rev. Fr. Edmund Weinheimer performing the ceremony;

Irene May Jones ("Irene Jones") born April 19, 1932 and married Charles Carman ("Charles Corman"?); and,

John David Jones ("John Jones") born December 15, 1942;

Edana Jones ("Edna Jones"?) born January 26, 1908, first married Peter Summers ("Pete Summers") January 7, 1926 with Rev. J.F. Elmore performing the ceremony, and later married Earl Frazier Midkiff ("Earl Midkiff") December 2, 1953. Earl Midkiff was born January 13, 1906 in Train, West Virginia and died December 14, 1968. Peter Summers and Edana Summers lived in Charleston, West Virginia and had 3 children:

Icie Florence Summers ("Icie Summers") born January 13, 1929 and married Dayton Humphrey on March 16, 19??. Dayton Humphrey and Icie Humphrey had a daughter named Betty Francis Humphrey ("Betty Humphrey" & "Elizabeth Humphrey");

William Henry Summers ("William Summers") died at birth May 8, 1929; and,

Robert Lee Summers ("Robert Summers") born June 20, 1930 and married Joyce Ann Forbush ("Joyce Forbush") who was born about 1933 and died May 28, 1978. The children of Robert Summers and Joyce Summers were:

Janice Marie Summers ("Janice Summers") who married Donald Wooten;

Sheryl Ann Summers ("Sheryl Summers") who married Daniel Holt; and,

William Bernice Jones ("William Jones") born June 4, 1912, married Katherine Canterbury who was born September 22, 1918. and lived in Charleston, West Virginia. William Jones and Katherine Jones had 3 children:

Roy Edward Jones ("Roy Jones") born December 3, 1937 and married Carmilee Crouch who was born April 19, 1940. The children of Roy Jones and Carmilee Jones were:

Treasa Ann Jones ("Treasa Jones") born September 12, 1958;

Ronald Edward Jones ("Ronald Jones") born February 23, 1960;

Michael Steven Jones ("Michael Jones") born February 10, 1964; and,

Genevieve Jones born October 22, 1913, first married a Thomas, later married Roy Patterson, and apparently still later married a Krantz and lived in Charleston, West Virginia. Roy Patterson and Genevieve Patterson had the following children:

Ray Hayden Patterson ("Ray Patterson") born June 22, 1931 in Elkview, West Virginia;

Joyce Lee Patterson ("Joyce Patterson") born May 4, 1933 in Elkview, West Virginia; and,

Jean Ann Patterson ("Jean Patterson") who married a Woods;

Roy Howard Jones ("Roy Jones") born March 24, 1915 and married a Thomas; and,

Marvin Earl Jones ("Marvin Jones") born March 2, 1917 and married a Mary or Elizabeth;

(ii) Ida Jane Cavender ("Ida Cavender" & “I.J. Cavender”) born April 4, 1883 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, first married Lewis Truslow, later married Braden R. Thaxton ("Braden Thaxton") on April 18, 1904 when she was age 21 with Rev T.L. Nickles performing the ceremony in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and died April 4, 1967 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Braden Thaxton was born about 1882 and was 22 years old when he married. Lewis Truslow and Ida Truslow had 2 children:

Gladys Truslow born November 8, 1905 and married James P. Hall ("James Hall"); and,

R.H. Truslow;

(iii) Elizabeth S. Cavender ("Elizabeth Cavender" & “E.S. Cavender”) born about 1884, and died August 3, 1886 in Kanawha County, West Virginia; and,

(iv)Charles William Cavender ("Charles Cavender", “C.W. Cavender” & “Charles W. Cavender”) born June 21, 1888 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, first married Nona M. Summers (“Nona Summers”), later married Una Ellen Jones ("Una Jones") on March 4, 1911 with Rev. Van Canterbury performing the ceremony, was a member of the Elmore Advent Christian Church, died June 19, 1974 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia at the age of 85, and is buried in the Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. Nona Summers was born June 21, 1886. When Charles Cavender died, he had 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Una Jones was born October 29, 1890, died November 30, 1922 in Charleston, West Virginia at the age of 32, and is buried in the Baxter Cemetery in Aarons Fork, West Virginia. Charles Cavender and Nona Summers Cavender (“Nona Cavender”) had 5 children:
