(xiv) ANDREW JACKSON ABERCROMBIE ("Andrew Abercrombie") born June 8, 1846 in Lumpkin County, Georgia, married Nancy Emaline Pierce ("Nancy Pierce") on March 11, 1866 in Hall County, Georgia, and died December 14, 1920 north of Fay in Dewey County, Oklahoma. Andrew Abercrombie's mother died when he was 5 years of age, and at the age of 14 he was a Confederate Army courier in the Civil War and served in Company C of Cobb's Legion of Georgia Volunteers. Supposedly, he paid $800 in confederate money for a horse to ride to Virginia where he enlisted in CSA at Stevensburg, Virginia. He returned from Virginia to Georgia on March 10, 1866, left for Mitchell County, Kansas in June 1870 and arrived there in October 1872. Nancy Pierce was born November 1, 1849 in Hall County, Georgia, was the daughter of Sampson Pierce and Rachel, and died December 8, 1938 in Fay, Blaine County, Oklahoma. Andrew Abercrombie later moved his family of 2 young children to Beloit, Kansas. At Beloit, 10 of their 13 children were born. One child, Arkansas Belle Abercrombie ("Arkansas Abercrombie") was born while the family was visiting in that state. In early 1893 or 1894, the family which included 12 surviving children ranging in age from 1 to 26, made the long trek from Beloit to settle in Boyd Township where they were described by one writer as "A big group of fine, happy people". The 13 children of Andrew Abercrombie and Nancy Abercrombie were:

Thomas E. Abercrombie ("Thomas Abercrombie") born December 23, 1889 and died October 8, 1957; and,

the infant daughter of John B. Abercrombie ("John Abercrombie") who apparently died at birth January 22, 1961.⁴¹¹

(2). ELIZABETH CAVENDER ("Elizabeth Betsy Cavender", "Betsey Cavender" & "Betsy Cavender") born November 24, 1799 in either North Carolina or South Carolina, first married Charles A.J. Head ("Charles Head") on January 22, 1818 in Hall County, Georgia, later married J.M. Dodd, and died either on about 1822^{438, 476 & 493} or about 1892⁴⁹⁴ in Hall County, Georgia. Charles Head was born either about 1795 or about 1792⁴³⁸ in South Carolina, the son of John S. Head ("John Head" or "James Head"?) and Lucy Anidel ("Lucy Amidel"?) of Westmoreland County, Virginia, died about 1891, and is buried in the Concord Baptist Cemetery in Forsyth County, Georgia. Charles Head apparently remarried another "Betsy" who was likewise born in South Carolina. Charles Head received a land grant in Hall County, Georgia, then in Lumpkin County, and then in Dawson County in 1827. The 1850 census of Lumpkin County, Yahoola District enumerates Charles Head as being age 55 and born in South Carolina about 1795; his wife Betsy Head age 50 and born in South Carolina about 1805; and their children as being John Head age 15 and born in Georgia about 1835; George Head; James Head age 13 born in Georgia about 1837; Elizabeth Head age 8 and born in Georgia about 1842; and, Martha Head age 5 and born in Georgia about 1845. Charles Head and Elizabeth Cavender Head (“Elizabeth Head”) had a total of 11 children:

(i) ANDREW JACKSON HEAD ("Andrew Head");

(ii) ISAAC HEAD who married Hetty Cavender ("Betty Cavender"? & "Elizabeth Cavender"?) September 7, 1840 in Hall County, Georgia;

(iii) FANNY HEAD ("Frances Head");

(iv) JOEL HEAD;

(v) LYDIA HEAD;

(vi) SUSANNAH HEAD ("Susan Head") who married Tom Cooper ("Thomas Cooper") from England who explored Cooper's Gap which is named after him. Tom Cooper and Susan Cooper had a daughter named:

(vii) John Head born about 1835 in Georgia;

(viii) George W. Head ("George W. Haid", "George Head" & "George Haid") married Nancy Cavender on either September 16, 1858 or September 6, 1853⁴²⁵ in Union County, Georgia with Justice of the Peace John Hayes performing the ceremony;

(ix) James A. Head ("James Head") born about 1837 in Georgia;

(x) Elizabeth Head born either about 1842 or about 1818 in Hall County, Georgia, married John Marion Dodd (“J.M. Dodd” & "John Dodd") on December 22, 1861 in Lumpkin. John Dodd and Elizabeth Dodd had 2 children:

Mary Dodd who married T. Iverson Summerour ("Iverson Summerour"). Iverson Summerour and Mary Summerour had a daughter named:

Kate Summerour who married J.C. Slaton. J.C. Slaton and Kate Slaton had a daughter named:

Rebekah Slaton who married J.T. Wilson; and,

an unknown son; and,

(xi) Martha Head born about 1845 in Georgia;

(3) MILCHIA ANN CAVENDER (“Michia Ann Cavender”,⁵¹¹ “Michia Cavender”, "Melchia Ann Cavender"⁴⁹³, “Melchian Cavender”, "Milchia Cavender", "Milcha Cavender", "Milkie Cavender", "Mikley Cavender", "Milchah Cavender", “Milca Cavender”⁴⁷⁶ & "Milky Cavender") born on February 6, 1802 in either Hall County, Georgia^{493 & 494} Murray County, Georgia⁵¹¹ or in Oconee, South Carolina⁴⁷⁶, married Hiram Montgomery on January 23, 1819 in Hall County, Georgia, died on January 12, 1888 in Murray, Hall County, Georgia, and is buried in Montgomery-McEntire Family Cemetery on the McEntire Farm, Southeast Corner, Murray County, Georgia. Hiram Montgomery was born on July 16, 1796 in South Carolina, was the son of William M. Montgomery ("William Montgomery") and Ailsey Crittenden, died December 10, 1867 in Murray County, Georgia, and is buried with his wife. In 1820, Hiram Montgomery was in Habersham County, Georgia, in 1832 he was in the militia with apparently his brothers Jake Montgomery, Jasper Montgomery and John Montgomery. By 1835, he was established in Murray County, Georgia. Hiram Montgomery and Milchia Montgomery ("Milky Montgomery") apparently had 16 children:

(i) WILLIAM MONTGOMERY born on November 28, 1819 in Hall County, Georgia, first married Elizabeth Trimble on July 24, 1843 in Murray County, Georgia, later married Sophronia Black on June 15, 1856 in Murray County, Georgia, served as a Lt. in CSA, J..F. Groover’s Company E, 40^th Georgia Regiment, Stovall’s Brigade, died March 20, 1896 in Lawrence County, Missouri, and is buried in the Spring River Cemetery in Lawrence County, Missouri. Elizabeth Trimble was born January 6, 1822 in Georgia, was the daughter of Joseph Trimble and an Asley, and died April 16, 1853, probably in Murray County, Georgia. Sophronia Black was born December 25, 1835 in North Carolina, was the daughter of Joseph Black, and died February 6, 1908 in Lawrence County, Missouri. William Montgomery and Elizabeth Montgomery had 2 children:

Ibba Carolina Montgomery (“Ibba Montgomery”) born June 21, 1844 in Murray County, Georgia, married J.J. Hooper about 1863, probably in Murray County, Georgia and died May 28, 1864 in Georgia; and,

Milkey Ann Montgomery (“Milkey Montgomery”) born August 18, 1846 in Murray County, Georgia, married John Thomas Nix (“John Nix”) on May 17, 1866 in Gordon County, Georgia, died February 27, 1941 in McClain County, Oklahoma. John Nix was born February 19, 1847 in Murray County, Georgia, and died November 23, 1934 in McClain County, Oklahoma.

By some account, she first married Noah Montgomery on July 2, 1842 and John Thomason, a widower, who was born September 23, 1776. Joseph Shepherd was born on August 24, 1824 in Murray County, Georgia, died on December 17, 1890 in Barry, Missouri, and is buried in the Maddy Cemetery in Barry, Missouri. Adam Neal was born about 1820 in Lincolnton, North Carolina. Adam Neal and Elizabeth Neal had 8 children:
