(4)NANCY CARPENTER CAVENDER ("Nancy Cavender" & “N.C. Cavender”) born either about 1801 or about 1805505 in Lunenburg County, Virginia, and married Richard H. Walker (“Richard Walker”) in Williamson County, Tennessee on August 22, 1821. Richard Walker was born about 1803-1805505 in Virginia. Assuming Nancy Cavender was born about 1804 and, when the 1820 census was taken, she would have been about 16 years of age. Thus, she probably was the particular 16-25 year old female who was listed in the 1820 Williamson County, Tennessee census as then living in the household of Eudaley James Cavender. Also, she could have been the Sarah Cavender ("Sally Cavender") who was born about 1801 and who died December 16, 1843 at the age of 42, apparently in Williamson County, Tennessee, in which case, Sarah Cavender and Nancy Cavender would have been the same person.

Richard Walker and Nancy Walker are listed in the 1850 census for Madison County, Illinois, Richard Walker was listed as head of the household in 1860 in Hancock County, Illinois, and in 1880, he was listed as head of the household in Jack County, Texas.

It is of interest to note that apparently the older sister of the above Nancy Cavender named Jincy Cavender was born about 1794 and had previously married Elisha Walker, with a John Walker being the bondsman, who undoubtedly was either the father or brother of Elisha Walker. Thus, the Walkers and the Cavender’s must have been neighbors in Williamson County, Tennessee. Richard Walker and Nancy Walker had 9 children:

Mary Elizabeth Walker ("Mary Walker") who was born either about 1821 or about 1826505 in Williamson County, Tennessee, married Samuel Owen Buckley ("Samuel Buckley"), married about 1845, and died about 1886 in Randolph County, Arkansas.
