The Podsulator West EDD

The problem addressed is that the ipod battery does not work properly under 32°F. The final design we decided on was a neoprene ipod case with Temptrol fabric from Innovative Insulation Inc. on the inside which would reflect any heat generated by the ipod. The case would be sealed with Dual Lock Velcro and on the face that touches the arm there would be a section of UnderArmour between the ipod and the skin. This will capture heat generated by the body and transfer it to the ipod and collect any moisture produced by the skin, keeping it away from the ipod. The case will be secured to the arm using an elastic band that can be used during physical activity. All of these components together will maintain a temperature above 32°F.
