  5. Repairs or replacements are carried out within 6 further flights or 25 flying hours or 2 calendar days, whichever occurs first.

NOTE: Accuracy of hydraulic quantity indication will be degraded during long flights in cold soak conditions. If Right Hydraulic System (R SYS) sensor has failed in flight, there is no protection against overheating R SYS pumps during Power Transfer Unit (PTU) operation. In flight, with either or both sensors failed, there is no warning of hot hydraulic system temperatures.

NOTE: Accuracy of hydraulic quantity indication will be degraded during long flights in cold soak conditions. If Right Hydraulic System (R SYS) sensor has failed in flight, there is no protection against overheating R SYS pumps during Power Transfer Unit (PTU) operation. In flight, with either or both sensors failed, there is no warning of hot hydraulic system temperatures.

b) Cowl Anti-Ice shall be selected ON manually any time visible moisture is present and SAT is +10 deg C or less, and

c) Wing Anti-Ice should be selected ON manually if icing conditions are imminent or immediately upon detection of ice formation on the wings, winglets or windshield edges.

NOTE: With Ice Detection Systems inoperative, automatic anti-ice is not available.

(O) Aeroplane may be dispatched provided:

  1. Ambient Temperature is 95 degrees F (35 degrees C) or cooler,

  2. TRU electrical loads are 50% or less,

  3. Right main TRU is operative,

  4. Both Environmental Control System (ECS) Packs are operative,

  5. Flight crew minimize ground operation time, and

  6. For ground operations longer than 15 minutes, flight crew ensure main and baggage doors are closed, APU air is selected “ON” and outflow valve is fully OPEN.

Flight crew will:

  1. Minimize ground operation time, espescially during hot weather.

  2. During Ground operation, monitor TRU load – limit load to 50%.

For ground operation longer than 15 minutes ensure main and baggage doors are closed. APU air is selected “ON” and outflow valve is fully OPEN.



LX Fail

(O) Aeroplane may be dispatched with a one (1) micro air data computer inoperative provided:

  1. Manual Pressurization Control System is operative,

  2. Cabin Altitude and Differential Pressure Indicators are operative,

  3. Cabin Rate of Climb Indicator is operative,

  4. Autopilot is operative,

  5. Aeroplane is operated in accordance with AFM limitations,

  6. MADC 1: POP A-9, MADC 2: CPOP A-9, and MADC 3: POP A-10 circuit breakers associated with the failed Micro Air Data Computer (MADC) are pulled and collared. Flight crew may accomplish this task if properly qualified and authorized, and

  7. Flight crew selects operative and different MADC sources prior to departure.

NOTE 1: Two systems are required for operation in RVSM airspace.

NOTE 2: For MADC 1 FAIL, expect the L Engine Backup Air Data advisory and associated Engine Maintenance message to post.

NOTE 3: For MADC 2 FAIL, expect the R Engine Backup Air Data advisory and associated Engine Maintenance message to post.


Flight crew will pull and collar MADC 1: POP A-9, MADC 2: CPOP A-9, and MADC 3: POP A-10 circuit breaker associated with Micro Air Data Computers.

Flight crew will operationally check and assure that the items called out in provisos a) thru d) are operative.

Flight crew will comply with all AFM limitations in section 1-03-30, 1-03-40, and 1-21-10.

(O) Aeroplane may be dispatched with one (1) micro air data computer inoperative provided aeroplane is operated in unpressurized configuration.

To operate the airplane unpressurized, select manual pressurization and slew the outflow valve to full open position with both engine bleeds and air conditioning packs selected ON if available. If not, select RAM Air ON. Monitor Cabin differential pressure to be nominally zero psid during the flight.

MADC 1-3 PROBE FL

(O) Except for ER operations, aeroplane may be dispatched with one (1) probe heater inoperative provided:

  1. Aeroplane is not operated in visible moisture or known or forecast icing conditions,

  2. L LWR PITOT HTR: POP A-5 and R LWR PITOT HTR: CPOP A-5 circuit breakers are pulled and collared. Flight crew may accomplish this task if properly qualified and authorized,

  3. Flight crew select MADC sources that are different and not associated with failed pitot heater element,

  4. Dispatch is not authorized in conjunction with MADC 2-SBY PROBE FL, and

  5. Repairs are made within two (2) flight days.

Flight crew will pull and collar L LWR PITOT HTR: POP A-5 and R LWR PITOT HTR: CPOP A-5 circuit breakers and select MADC sources that are different and not associated with failed pitot heater element.

MADC 2-SBY PROBE FL

  5. Dispatch is not authorized in conjunction with Alternate Pump Fail, L-R or with Alt FuelPump Fail, L-R, and

  6. Aeroplane is operated in accordance with AFM Limitations.

Flight crew will ensure:

  1. Fuel Crossflow Valve and Intertank Valve are operative,

  2. BOTH Fuel Low Quantity Warning Systems are operative,

  3. Verify compliance with AFM, Section 3, Abnormal Procedures, Fuel Boost Pump Failure.

MAIN PUMP FAIL, L-R

  1. Fuel Crossflow Valve is operative,

(O) Aeroplane may be dispatched with one (1) main TRU inoperative provided:

a) Both Generators are operative,

b) Both essential TRU’s are operative,

c) Auxiliary TRU is operative,

d) APU Generator is operative,

e) Both Battery chargers are operative,

f) Both Main Aeroplane Batteries are operative,

g) Inoperative L MAIN TRU: LPDB, Left Main AC section or R MAIN TRU: RPDB, Right Main AC section TRU circuit breaker on the Power Distribution Box is pulled and collared. Flight crew may accomplish this task if properly qualified and authorized, and

h) Repairs are made within two (2) flight days.


Flight crew will pull and collar inoperative L MAIN TRU: LPDB, Left Main AC section or R MAIN TRU: RPDB, Right Main AC section TRU circuit breaker on Power Distribution Box.

Flight crew will ensure AUX TRU is operative and both essential TRUs are operative.



MAU 1-2-3 Fan Fail

A

Aeroplane may be dispatched:

  1. With one (1) failed fan provided performance of items affected by the indicated MAU are monitored during the flight,

  2. Flight crew references the appropriate matrix in AFM Section 03-16-80, and

  3. Repairs are made within two (2) flight days.
