Attendance of courses
Foreign students can attend all our courses (undergraduate or master level). There is no need to sign up for the courses and attendance is not obligatory.
Language of the courses
All our courses are in Italian for First Level Degree.
Both Italian and foreign students can attend the courses taught in English. For further information , check the following site: http://mibe.unipv.it/
Master Degree Level
Since the academic year 2009/2010, the graduate courses are organized in semesters. For the present year this orientation will regard only the first year courses, while the second year will continue the learning periods of three months. From the academic year 2010/2011 all courses will be held in semester basis.
The courses are designed to offer to the students the possibility to achieve the specialization needed for the access to the always more exigent labour market.
The new university reform is characterized by the simplification of the didactic orientation. Looking to adequate the structure and contents of the courses to the technological progress and the growing internationalisation of the markets.
To the three graduate courses in Italian language from this year is added the new master course taught entirely in English language “International Business and Economics
The international opportunities successfully offered by the Faculty of Economics until now, besides the traditional LLP-Erasmus and Erasmus placement projects, are the ISEP (International Student Exchange Program), the EMBS (European Master of Business Sciences) program and the double- degree program, jointly operated with renowned European higher education institutions.

The exams period are immediately after the courses in order to stimulate and facilitate the presentation and conclusion of the studies. The dates are January/February and June /July, two dates for each period and a supplementary session on September
THE ITALIAN GRADING SYSTEM
Italian grades go from 18/30 to 30/30. The lowest grade in order to pass the exam is 18/30.

DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAMS
The Faculty of Economics has activated double degree programs with the University Robert Schuman Strasbourg (France), Lyon 3 (France), ESC Clermont Ferrand (France), the Eberahard Karls Universitat Tubingen, Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Alcalà (Spain) and the University of Seville (Spain); these bilateral agreements allow the students who participate to obtain - at the end of the period of study - an Italian degree and the equivalent foreign award.
Since the 2004/2005 academic year, a double diploma course in "European Economics" with the University of Tubingen has been up and running and, since last year, with the University of Alcalà (Spain).
The duration of the double degree program is two years. The students of the Faculty can take a degree in Economia e Gestione delle Imprese or International Business and Economics - with the University of Strasbourg, the ESC Clermont Ferrand, the University of Tübingen, the University of Seville and the University of Alcalá. Furthermore, the students can take a double degree in Economia, Finanza ed Integrazione Internazionale or International Business and Economics with the University of Tübingen, the University of Seville and the University of Alcalá. The period abroad for students admitted to the program will be agreed between the partner institutions. The minimum length of stay abroad is two semesters.
The number of students who can register is restricted and it varies according to the agreement between the Faculty and the partner institution.

Candidates meeting the following eligibility requirements can apply for admission to the double degree program:
-
students registered for the first year of the graduate degree Laurea Magistrale in Economia e gestione delle imprese or in International Business and Economics - International Business and Management in Economia e gestione delle imprese can apply for the University of Tübingen, Hohenheim, Strasbourg, Clermont, Siviglia and Alcalà.
-
students registered for the first year of the graduate degree in International Business and Economics - International Business and Management can apply for the University of Lyon 3.
-
students registered for the first year of the graduate Laurea Magistrale in Economia, Finanza ed Integrazione Internazionale, in International Business and Economics - Advanced Economics can apply for the University of Tübingen, Hohenheim, Siviglia and Alcalà
The call for proposals is published in February.
Admission criteria
The academic excellency, the motivation and the language skills of the candidate are the main criteria for admission. There will be a language test to verify the language skills.
Scholarships
The student will get a scholarship for each month spent at the university abroad. The University abroad will certify the scholarship period and, in any case, it cannot go over the duration of the period of study scheduled for each destination.
