<888> 03/06/14 Thursday 8:45 A.M. The chicken came out fine, other than I cooked it upside down, so the top portion breast side was not browned. I ate a chicken leg with thigh and wing and some bottom side white meat along with steamed baby carrots cut into quarters lengthwise and 12 ounces of Chef's Crock mashed potatoes with Smart Balance Spread and extra virgin olive oil on the vegetables and with sliced one large tomato seasoned with celery salt, garlic salt, ground black pepper, Italian spices, grated Parmesan and Romano cheese and extra virgin olive oil a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale and a cup of green tea with Splenda sweetener and Borden lemon juice. I refrigerated the rest of the chicken on a large plate covered with a large sealed plastic bag. I could make chicken salad out of it. I threw out the garbage. CIO

The bird is suppose to be ready in 90 to 110 minutes which would be 7:10 A.M. to 7:30 A.M.. I will test it with a meat thermometer for 180 degrees Fahrenheit at 7:10 A.M.. <888> 03/05/14 Wednesday 1:20 A.M. I threw out the garbage. I picked up the mail. On a minor point of dispute, a lot of the local night time computer people that I have been around for 23 years in Greenwich, Connecticut were involved with the local astronomy club. When I first returned back to Greenwich, Connecticut in December 1983, I lived at 100 Milbank Avenue across the street from the Greenwich Observatory. When I used to chat with the physicist who taught physics at www.columbia.edu for fifty years after studying at www.harvard.edu , he told me that he knew all of the major computer people and nothing would come of the internet. I just run my home computers, the skies around here are too lousy for astronomy. However in Canary Island, Hawaii, Chile, Argentina, and a few other locations, there are major observatories that are not obscured by the night sky. One former Taft School classmate has spent his career at the Harvard Astrophysics observatory. Even out in Nantucket they had a small observatory. Thus if one gets bored of home computers, one can always look to the night skies for signs of intelligence in the universe. Even my last address on West 74th Street in Manhattan was a few blocks west of the Museum of Natural History Planetarium. Once one sees the night time in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, one begins to realize why in the old days there was so much focus on the starts in our galaxy. If one looks at http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/NPP/news/earth-at-night.html , one can figure out where there is not as much artificial light interfering with viewing the skies at night. CIO
<888> 03/04/14 Tuesday 11:50 P.M. Meanwhile in the slow lane of Greenwich, Connecticut, it is time to shower and clean up for the New Amsterdam Night watch. In the old days when gasoline was cheaper, at this hour of night and early morning, one could drive into Manhattan to network with its many night owls, but that is for the younger generation. On use to be able park on the north side of FDR Post Office Federal Building east of third Avenue at 55th Street, and after 11 P.M., one can park there. I think Third Avenue also has metered parking, but I am not sure if it costs at night. Of course when the local yokels in Manhattan see a Connecticut license plate on a car, they try to take one to the cleaners with all of their schemes just the way they do with Texas Tourists. With cell phones and wireless they are even better networked today. Also the Midtown Manhattan has 5000 surveillance cameras controlled by Microsoft software, so Big Brother is watching your every move, while one wanders around. It was my experience over 20 years ago, when I was mugged in that area on a summer's eve, I was told by the New York City Police Department that there was nothing they could do. http://www.pjclarkes.com/ is relatively safe in the old days, because a lot of assistant district attorneys use to hang out there with guns after work. <888> 03/04/14 Tuesday 10:55 P.M. You don't have to live on Round Hill Road to see all of the trophy wives shopping on Greenwich Avenue Southern Connecticut is second most ‘overpriced’ metro area, Forbes says . Many of the Old Guard in Greenwich always shopped at the many discount outlets in Norwalk, Connecticut and other locations in this area. If I had any money to spend on shopping at a store for various items, I might go to http://tjmaxx.tjx.com/ up on Route 7 in Wilton, Connecticut. T.J. Max does carry clothes for fat people. http://www.marshallsonline.com/ in Stamford, Connecticut and Port Chester, New York does not have as many clothes for men, particularly fat men. Of course it would cost more money in Texas Tea to drive to those locations. 77% of the private money in the United States of America is controlled by women over 70 years old, so that means all of the men and all of the women under 70 years old, only control 23% of the private money. Older women also tend to be frugal frequently living on tea and toast to keep within their budgets. CIO

<888> 03/03/14 Monday 4:10 A.M. I took a Frachetta 12 inch frozen 30 ounce supreme pizza, and I took it out of its packaging and removed the cardboard bottom. I put it on a cutting board, and I seasoned it celery salt, garlic salt, ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese, and extra virgin olive oil. I cut it into quarters. I put half in a Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator, and I put the other half on a rectangular baking sheet. While I was removing the Sharp Convection Microwave oven and replacing it with the Farberware Turbo Convection oven, the pizza defrosted and rose. I baked on the lower shelf of the Farberware oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. That is 10 minutes less than the recommended time, but the Farberware oven is hotter and the pizza was defrosted. I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale. There is no information on repairing the Sharp Convection Microwave oven on the internet, other than it might have two fuses. However, if the fuses blew, that probably means something else is wrong with it. CIO
<888> 03/03/14 Monday 2:50 A.M. I started to cook a pizza. After two minutes, the Sharp Convection microwave oven finally quit working for good. I tried it on a several other plugs, but it would not come back on again. I removed the items from on top of it, and I carried it out of the kitchen which was a hoist. I then got my folding cart from the back of the Volvo wagon, and I rolled the Sharp Convection microwave oven down to the dumpster area. I then put the folding cart back in the rear of the Volvo wagon. Once I clean off the top of the refrigerator, I have the old Farberware Convection oven stored in the bedroom closet that I will put on top of the refrigerator. I also have a new Faberware convection oven in the bedroom closet that I keep in reserve. Thus I will once again have proper baking facilities in the kitchen again. The Sharp Convection oven has not worked properly for over a year. The chair in the kitchen which I keep for smoking cigarettes by the kitchen fan block me from using the GE oven, but I never cook big items anyway. I bought the Sharp Convection oven from the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop over five years ago for $45. New they cost around $400. CIO
