The Thomas and Mack Center is a multipurpose facility that couples up as an entertainment and sports center. It is defined by aesthetic architectural designs and several physical attributes, which endear it to visitors. The Thomas and Mack Center is the brainchild of two bankers: Thomas and Mack who practiced in Las Vegas. They generated up to $500,000, which was used in laying its foundation, and recommended the architecture they wanted to feature prominently in this facility. This center is located in the University of Nevada grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was created in 1983 and its 27 years of existence have seen it transform from a basketball stadium to a venue that can host a cocktail of events. These include family shows, industrial shows, the National Finals Rodeo, championship boxing, NBA games and Horse Jumping among other entertainment and sporting activities.

Universal’s Island of Adventure is home to five themed islands and this makes it amazingly unique. The Upper East Side has been in existence since the 1800s and her charm and tranquil is eternal. This neighborhood has the finest restaurants and shopping malls and is home to the area’s high rollers who include celebrities and other high profile people.

San Francisco is a busy city. Every one is working and working very hard in the offices which are located in huge buildings. In this situation every one looks for a place where he can sit enjoy and relax. Well TransAmerica Redwood Forest is the perfect place for this purpose. It is only minutes away from the hustle bustle of the city, so you don’t have to go much far. It is located near TransAmerica which is a pyramid building and its shape is made like this to give sunlight to the city. Light can reach city without any disturbance because of this building. The park consists of redwood trees and it looks like a forest. The park has a fountain placed in the center of the park and has benches all over the place. So on a busy day you can bring your food here and enjoy a picnic without going out of the city.

St. Mary Square is park and a nature preserve. Located on California Street. St. Mary Square is in the china town of San Francisco. World War I and II were really destructive hundreds and thousands of people lost their lives in these wars. At that time there were some Americans who were from Chinese ancestors. They lost their lives in these wars. St. Mary Square is made to pay tribute to those men. On the square a statue is placed. The statue is of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the father of Chinese Republic and also the first president. He died in 1925. Dr. Sun Yat Sen was the master of democracy. He believed in equality and peace. He was a lover of mankind.

Zoo is a place which is present in almost every city. Animals are very fascinating for human beings. Specailly for kids, animals are very attractive. There is a zoo in San Francisco also. The zoo is located between Lake Merced and the Pacific Ocean. The founder of the zoo was Hebbert Fleishhacker. Earlier the zoo was after his name. The zoo was called Fleishhacker zoo. The zoo is very advanced and nicely mantained. The zoo has more than 250 animal species.The animals are taken care of very nicely. It is of interest to note that Tatiana, who was a tiger in the San Francisco zoo, had attacked twice on human beings. One person died in the second attack of the tiger. Police officers killed the tiger in his second attack. It is a very great place rou you if you are interested in animals.

San Francisco State University

Education is always a very important thing for a nation to prosper. One of the oldest public universities of California is the San Francisco State University. The university was founded in 1899. The university has a really big area of around 160 acres. There are 1506 people of the staff which are ready to serve almost 30,000 students of the university. The university has a very high standard of teaching. The university offers both under-graduate and graduate programs. There are 8 academic colleges in the university. It offers almost 115 area of study for under-graduation and 100 for graduation. The university has all the latest techniques of teaching and uses the latest method for better understanding. Any one going in this university has a very bright and secure future.

In 1867 the first official park of San Francisco was established. The park is located in Haight-Ashbury, California. The park is called Buena Vista Park. But this was not the of park at the time of its creation. The name of the park was Hill Park and was changed to Buena Vista Park after 27years. The park was called Hill Park because it is on a hill and covers and area of 37 acres, which is a big area for a park. The park has many kinds of trees and park in it. As it is on a hill so from the park you can see most of the city and it is very special and beautiful scene. The park has no holidays. It is opened through out the year even in the Christmas.

The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) is a diverse center that offers modern art, which lies in defining human life. The YBCA has great respect for architecture and that is why its preferred operation bases include the Theater and the Galleries & Forum building. These two were carefully done by two renown architects; James Stewart who is an American and Fuhimiko Maki, a Japanese respectively. The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts is located along the Mission Street in the Yerba Buena Gardens, which are in San Francisco, California. Among the featured arts in the YBCA include both local and international films, performances, and visual arts exhibitions, which seek to bring together the diversity of the communities that, reside in the Bay Area. This makes the YBCA a melting pot for different cultures, ideas, expressions and new art which encourage diversity.

Zoo - Dallas, TX, US

Zoo-Dallas, a home to almost 406 species and 1800 animals, is situated 3 miles south of downtown Dallas in the Oak Cliff area of an American state Texas. The Zoo was founded in 1800. It stretches over an area of 106 acres. The Zoo is divided into three regions that include ZooNorth, Wilds of Africa, and Giants of the Savanna. It also manages an Aquarium that contains 375 species of marine and freshwater animals. The Zoo also owns an Educational Park where different events like Field trips, Private tours, parties and summer camps are arranged. The Zoo offers exposure of wild life in more natural and personal settings. A large number of tourists from inside America as well as foreigners visit the Zoo. During previous few years, there have occurred some deadly incidents of animal’s assaulting on the visitors, but now the Zoo administration has made solid arrangements to prevent such incidents in future.

Circle in the Square Theatre

The Circle in the Square Theatre is a theater located in midtown Manhattan on 50th Street was built in 1970. It was origonally founded by Paul Libin, Theodore Mann and Jose Quintero in 1951. It was origonally located at 5 Sheridan Square (a brownstone) in Greenwich Village. At that time it did not have any theatre license but Quintero managed to get one. Many of the theatre people, actors or technicians, lived on the premises of the theatre. This building was designed by architect Alan Sayles. It is constructed below the sea level and the rather small auditorium seats 650 people and it also has a thrust stage. The builing hold a school as well named “Circle in the Square Theatre School” which offers a two-year training program in acting and musical theatre.

Chrysler Building

The Chrysler Builiding is  located on the east side of Manhattan in the Turtle Bay area at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue. It’s one of the skyscrapers in the New York City and is 319 metres (1,047 ft) tall. It took the credit of being the world tallest building for eleven months before it was defeated by Empire State Building in 1931. After the destruction of Twin Towers, Until December 2007, it again became the world’s second tallest building. This Building was designed by architect William Van Alen for a project of Walter P. Chrysler. Its construction began on September 19, 1928 and got completed on May 28, 1930. The Chrysler Building is thought to be the masterpiece of Art Deco architecture.

New York Children’s Museum of Arts

The Children’s Museum of Arts, designed for those from ten months to twelve years old, is located in Manhattan, New York City, USA, in the museum-rich SoHo neighborhood. Founded in 1988 by Kathleen Schneider, It is one of the oldest children’s art museums in the world. It is very famous amoung the children as well as the elders and familes. Children’s Museum of Arts has a very friendly atmosphere. It encourages the children under ten years old to develop their full creative abilities. Children’s Museum of Arts is like an art studio for kids because it has places where kids can make sculptures, draw, paint and do much more things. It includes Creative Play Area, The Artist's Studio, The Actor's Studio, The Ball Pond and Magnetic Masterpieces. The Museum had to travel a lot before securing a permanent location.

Chelsea Art Museum

Chelsea Art Museum is located at 556 West 22nd Street in Manhattan, New York. It is a contemporary art museum. It also aincludes Miotte Foundation who’s purpose is to protect the works of Jean Miotte and providing scholarship and research on L’Informel. Chelsea Art Museum produces exhibitions which are inspired by current social, political and cultural events. It currently has 500 permanent works which are on papers, in form of sculptures, paintings, etchings and many more. Activites like artist talks, panel discussions film screenings, lectures, and others are very popular of the Chelsea Art Museum. It also exhibits performing arts and dance performances of known as well as emerging performing artists. Chelsea Art Museum for Kids is a part of the museum where there is an education program for children between ages of 4 and 16. The building of this museum is beautiful and it attracts many tourists and visitors
New York Central Park Zoo

The Central Park Zoo is situated in Central Park in New York City. This zoo is a part of four zoos and one aquarium which is managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). In 1864 this zoo received the charter confirmation from New York’s assembly which made it United State’s second publicly owned zoo. The first one is the Philadelphia Zoo, which was founded in 1859. Hattie, the elephant was purchased in 1904 but he died in 1922. The zoo also went under renovation from 983–88 which was executed by the architectural firm of Kevin Roche. The renovation costed $35 million. The Zoo reopened to public on August 8, 1988. It is a popularly visited place and is very famous among the children.

The Center for Jewish Hisrtory is located in New York. It is a partnership of five Jewish organizations based in Manhattan. It officially opened in 2000, after six years of construction and planning. The fiver jewish organizations are: the American Jewish Historical Society, the American Sephardi Federation, the Leo Baeck Institute, the Yeshiva University Museum, and the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. The new center was 125,000 square feet (11,600 m²) and it included more than 100 million documents, 500,000 books and thousands of art objects. The museum tressures the origonal handwritten copy of Emma Lazarus' 1883 "Give me your tired, your poor" poem which was later inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty. This Center was the first attempt to unite differing views on Jewish Culture.

Cathedral of St. John the Divine

New York Cathedral of St. John the Divine is located at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue New York, (between West 110th Street, which is also known as "Cathedral Parkway", and 113 Street) in Manhattan's Morningside Heights. It is affiliated with Episcopal Church in the United States of America. The Cathedral is the largest cathedral church and forth largest Christian Church in the world. It is spread over an area of 121,000 sq ft (11,200 m²) and is 0.7 meters (232 ft) tall. It was designed in 1888 but its construction began in 1892 when the cornerstone was laid. James Parks Morton became Dean of the Cathedral in 1972. The consecration of the choir was done on April 19, 1911. It has a basement which is regularly used to feed the needy and the poor and is used for the meetings purposes as well. It suffered damage from fire which spread on December 18, 2001.

Castle Gould

Castle Gould, also known as HaHemsptead House, is located in Sands Point, New York. It is 225 ft long (69 m), 135 ft wide (41 m). Its construction got completed in 1912. Castle Gould has three floors and consists of 40 rooms. There is an 80-foot tower (24 m) tall tower as well. When the construction completed, it covered an area of 300-acre (1.2 km²). To maintain the Castle there was the need of 17 house servants and 200 farmers and groundskeepers. It is considered to be one of the most lavish estates to occupy the Gold Coast (North Shore (Long Island). In the entry foyer there was an organ made of oak, medival tapestries once hung on the walls and soft carpets covered the floors. It also included a Library, where potraits hung.

Castle Clinton National Monument

Castle Clinton National Monument is located in Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan, New York City, in the United States.  Its construction began in 1808 and got completed in 1811. It was designed by architects John McComb Jr. andJonathan Williams. First it was built on a small artificial island just off the shore. It was origonally built to defend New York City from British forces in the expected War of 1812, but the Castle Clinton never saw any action in that war or any other war. This Castle was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. It was known as “West Battery” but its name changed to Castle Clinton in 1815, which is in the honor of New York City mayor Dewitt Clinton. It was opened to public as Castle Garden on July 3, 1824.

Brooklyn Museum

The second largest Museum of The New York City is located at 200 Eastern Parkway, in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is one of the largest museums in United States. Its Director is Arnold L. Lehman. It was founded by Augustus Graham in 1897. It is a steel frame structured building designed by the famous architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and White. The Brooklyn Museum was constructed by Carlin Construction Company. Thomas S. Buechner, who was names Brooklyn Museum’s youngest director in 1960, played a vital role in saving he Daniel Chester French sculptures from destruction due to an expansion project at the Manhattan Bridge. In 1997, Brooklyn Museum’s name was annouced ti be changed to “Brooklyn Museum of Art” but then on March 12, 2004, previous name was annouced again.

Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is located at Red Hook Pier 12, which forms the south side of the Atlantic Basin^, at Pioneer and Imlay Streets in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, New York. It is among the three ocean-going curise ships present in metropolitan New York City area. With the arrival of RMS Queen Mary 2, the terminal opened on April 15, 2006. RMS Queen Mary 2 was constructed in 2003 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, it was the first major ocean liner built after Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1969. The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is built on Buttermilk Channel and is 180,000 square feet (17,000 m²). Buttermilk Channel is a channel which separates Brooklyn from Governors Island. This terminal is the home for Ships from Carnival Cruise Lines.

Brooklyn Bridge

The construction of Brooklyn Bridge began on January 3, 1870 and completed in 1883. It is the oldest suspension bridge in the United States. It is 5,989 feet (1825 m) long. Brooklyn Bridge became the longest steel-wire suspension bridge in the world until 1903. Origonally it was refered to as the New York and Brooklyn Bridge but in was shortened to “Broolyn Bridge” in a letter to the editor of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle in 1867. This name got permanent bythe city government in 1915. The bridge was opened to public in 1883. It was built by John A. Roebling, Washington Roebling, and Emily Warren Roebling and their names are written on the structure. It was designed by German-born John Augustus Roebling in Trenton. Who died due to an infection in the foot injury and left his son in charge of the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. It became National Historic Landmark in 1964 and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1972.
  Brooklyn Academy of Music

New York Brooklyn Academy of Music was founded in 1861. It is a major performing arts building. The building was designed by the firm Herts & Tallant in 1908. It is spread over an area 0.9 acres (0.36 ha). Brooklyn Academy of Music was designed by architect Leopold Eidlitz. It housed a theatre with a seating arrangement of 2,200, a small concert hall, dressing room and a large kitchen. The building was totally destroyed on November 30, 1903, by fire. It was decided to build it on a different and more fashionable location. So the cornerstone was laid at 30 Lafayette Avenue in 1906. Philip Glass, Peter Brook, Laurie Anderson, Lee Breuer, ETHEL, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Steve Reich, Seal, Nirvana and Alice in Chains have performed in the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Bronx Zoo

The largest metropolitan zoo in the United State is called Bronx Zoo. It is spread over an area of 265 acres (107 ha). The Bronx Zoo is located in the Bronx borough of New York City, within Bronx Park. This zoo is part of four zoos and one aquarium which is managed by Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and is certified by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). There are total 4,000 animals in the Bronx Zoo out of which 600 are other species. The zoo was orginally called New York Zoological Park and opened to public on November 8, 1899, featuring 843 animals in 22 exhibits. William Temple Hornaday was the first director of the zoo. Currently 2010, it holds more than 4,000 animals of 650 species, many of them are endangered species.

Bronx Park

Bronx Park houses the New York Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo. It is laid out along the Bronx River in the Bronx, New York.  Southern Boulevard (Bronx), Webster Avenue, Burke Avenue (Bronx), Bronx Park East, and 180th Street (Bronx) surrounds the Bronx Park. The land for Bronx Park was taken through funds authorized by the 1884 New Parks Act. It is spread over an area of 718 acres (291 ha). Origonally only 640 acres were acquired in 1888-1889. 250 acres were later added in 1891 to the New York Botanical Society followed by another 250 acres for the New York Zoological Society in 1989. Then 66 acres were added to the southeast end of the park in 1906, presently that area os known as Ranaqua. The parks headquaters are located here in Ranaqua.

New York Broadway is a wide avenue in the New York City which runs from Manhattan and continues into the Bronx. It was origonally carved by its Native American inhabitants into the brush destination of Manhattan. With the arrival of Dutch it became the main road through the island from Nieuw Amsterdam at the southern tip. The Dutch explorer David de Vries  mentions it first in his journals in 1642. The Broadway was first named as “Heerestraat" by the Dutch people. Great White Way is the nickname for the section of The Broadway that includes  the Theatre District, between 42nd and 53rd Streets, and encompasses Times Square. It was among the first electricity lighted streets in the United States. It is famous among the pedistrians, businesses and residents.

Bethesda Fountain is located in the Bethesda Terrace which overlooks The Lake in New York City's Central Park. Bethesda Terrace has two levels and the Bethesda Fountain is constructed in the center of its first level. The Fountain’s construction began in 1859 and got completed in 1864. It was designed by Emma Stebbins in 1868. On the top of the fountain the bronze, eight-foot statue depicts a female winged angel touching down from which the water cascades out into the upper basin and then to the pool. Underneath the angel there are four four-foot cherubs representing Temperance, Purity, Health, and Peace. The angel is also refered to as “The Angel of the Waters”. The base of the fountain was designed by architect Calvert Vau and the sculpture details were given by Jacob Wrey Mould.This fountain attract many tourists and add to the beauty of Bethesda Terrace.

Belvedere Castle

The second highest natural elevation is in the Central Park of the New York City. It is names as the Vista Rock. Belvedere Castle covers the summits of this Vista Rock. It was designed by Calvert Vaux and the sculptor was Jacob Wrey Mould and was built in 1869. It was built mainly for an additional feature of the Central Park. When the Belvedere Castle was origonally built, the view from it included a vista over the rectangular receiving reservoir and, at the foot of thye Vista Rock, the Turtle Pond, redesigned in 1997.Belverdere Castle closed down after the New York Meteorological Observatory relocated to Rockefeller Center in the 1960s but it re-opened to the public on May 1, 1983. Belvedere Castle was used in the exterior shots of the Castle where Count von Count lived on Sesame Street.
American Folk Art Museum 

American Folk Art Museum is located at 45 West 53rd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, in Midtown Manhattan (New York City, USA). The Museum’s construction got completed on June 23, 1961 and opened to public on September 27, 1963. It was first known as Museum of Early American Folk Arts. The Museum got its current name in 1966. The organization launched full schedule of exhibitions and educational programs. It also offered an extensive program of visiting museums all over the country. The formation of the Contemporary Centre was announced in 1998. This centre is totally devoted to twentieth and twenty-first-century self-taught artists and as well as non-American art work. In 2001, the centre collected many books, tracings, drawings, and source materials by Chicago artist, artist Henry Darger. All these have been combined to form Henry Darger Study Center. It is the leading centre for study and enjoyment of American art folk.

New York State Museum

New York State Museum is located on Madison Avenue, attached to the south side of the Empire State Plaza, facing onto the plaza and towards the New York State Capitol, in Albany, New York. The museum occupies the first four floors of the Cultural Education Center, which is a ten-story, 1,500,000-square-foot (139,000 m²) building. The New York State Museum was founded in 1836. Origonaly it was constructed as New York State Geological and Natural History Survey. From 1912 until 1976 the museum was located at State Education Building. When the Empire State Plaza got completed, it moved to its present location. The current location opened on July 4, 1976 and many people took part in its inauguration. In the collection of New York State Museum there are geological samples, paleontology specimens, historic materials, and art.
Albany New York State Executive Mansion

New York State Executive Mansion is the official resiedential place for the governer of Governor of New York. It is located at 38 Eagle Street in Albany, New York. it was constructed in 1856 as a banker’s private home but the state purchased it in 1858. Since then it has housed 31 governors and their families. The first governor to reside in the house was Samuel Tilden who lived there in 1875, many governors added features in the masion while living there. Theodore Roosevelt, for example, had a gymnasium constructed during his stay. Franklin Roosevelt installed a swimming pool in 1932. Alfred E. Smith built a zoo and Nelson Rockefeller added tennis courts to the mansion. In 1961, the mansion was damaged by the fire but was restored. Free guided tours and school tours are also given of the Executive Mansion.
