Pressure Fueling System

1)

Series 400 though 700, Only (If Installed)

1. Make sure the Refuel Vent Valve is closed.

  1. Make sure the MASTER switch on the refuel control panel is selected OFF and the wing VENT valve indicators show SHUT. If indication is not present,

  2. On panel DA/D, open circuit breakers REFUEL MASTER VALVE and REFUEL VENTS.

  3. Remove the wing access panel, outboard of rib 13

  4. Make sure the indicator on the actuator is horizontal.

  5. Disconnect and stow the electrical connector from the valve.

2)

Series 750, 800, 800XP, 850XP and 900XP Only

2. Make sure the Master Refuel Valve is closed.

  1. Make sure the MASTER switch on the refuel control panel is selected OFF and Refuel Valve indicators show SHUT. If indication is not present,

  2. Make sure the landing gear ground lock pins are installed.

  3. Close the crossfeed and both low pressure valves (cocks).

  4. Close the auxiliary fuel transfer lever.

  5. Make sure the MASTER, DORSAL and VENTRAL REFUEL switches are selected OFF.

  6. Isolate the electrical circuits of (4); refer to REFUEL SYSTEM CIRCUIT POWER SUPPLY DETAILS, Table 3.

  7. Open left main gear door.

  8. Remove the rear inboard sidewall panel in left main landing gear wheel well.

  9. Make sure the indicator on the actuator is aligned with the marks.

  10. Disconnect and stow the electrical connector from the valve.

3)

Series 1-700 Only

3. Make sure the Dorsal Tank Refuel Valve is closed (For Series 1-700 Only).

  1. Defuel dorsal tank (Chapter 12, SERVICING - FUEL).

  2. Close No. 1 engine low pressure valve (cock).

  3. Make sure all switches on the refuel control panel are OFF and the MASTER VALVE is indicated SHUT and that the Dorsal Refuel Valve indicator shows SHUT. If indication is not present,

  4. On panel DA/D, open circuit breakers REFUEL DORSAL & VENTRAL, and REFUEL MASTER VALVE.

  5. Gain access to the rear equipment bay; the valve is on the left side of the bay, just forward of the engine beam.

  6. Make sure that the position indicator shows closed.

  7. Disconnect and stow the electrical plug from the valve.

4. Make sure the Ventral Tank Transfer Valve is closed.

  1. Make sure the MASTER switch on the refuel control panel is selected OFF and that the Ventral Valve indicator shows SHUT. If indication is not present,

  2. Close the auxiliary fuel transfer valve.

  3. Defuel the ventral tank (Chapter 12, SERVICING - FUEL).

  4. Make sure all switches on the refuel panel DB are OFF and indicated as SHUT.

  5. Close No.2 engine low-pressure fuel valve (cock).

  6. On panel DA/D open circuit breakers REFUEL DORSAL AND VENTRAL and REFUEL MASTER VALVE.

  7. Make sure the landing gear locking pins are installed (Chapter 10, PARKING AND MOORING).

  8. Release hydraulic system pressure (Chapter 29, HYDRAULIC - MAIN SYSTEM).

  9. Lower left main landing gear door and install door jack clamp (Chapter 32, LANDING GEAR - MAIN GEAR FAIRINGS AND DOORS).

  10. Remove inboard access panel in rear wall of left main wheel bay to gain access to refuel valve on ventral tank forward wall.

  11. Operate the manual override lever on the valve to the closed position.

  12. Disconnect and stow the electrical connector from the valve.
